Hydraulic fitting for Enrossi Sickle bar

I bought a used Enrossie Sickle bar with Hydraulic lift. I need to change one of the hoses to make it fit the tractor properly (too long). I ordered what I thought were the right fittings but the fitting on the end of the flow control valve is not like I am used to. NPT or JIC is what I had assumed were used. This has a round nubbin and socket. What is it and what do I need to ask for?

I believe that is a pipe swivel end on the hose. Mating fitting must have taper to seal on mating taper in the hose end.

Suggest try threading a known size npt fitting to confirm this though.

That’s what I bought but it has that ball and cup type seal inside…

To me that's either 1/4" or 3/8" BSPP. That seems to be a 60 taper inside.

Look at the female swivel ends, they have that type.

That connector is tricky getting the right match is key, kind of like choosing the right heavy services for the job so everything runs smoothly.

You are 100% - it is a NPT swivel fitting. I'd never heard or seen it before. NPT was always just thread interference fit seal to me - Still learning every day!

Glad you have it figured out and agree there are way to many fitting options these days.

Hopefully you are not like me where learn something new but forget half dozen other things
