73F and sunny @11:30, calling for a high of 82F for the day.

Got hole for the last arb drilled.

Got last 2 arbs planted and watered in. Had to make a trip up for more screened compost to fill in around the last one.

Glad the planting is finally over, now just have some mulching left to do.

After I got the last one in the ground I headed down to the corner and picked up some more gas for the Cub.

Came inside and had a little snack ... 1 sausage dumpling with some 'kraut and iced tea ... then headed out to the garden and continued on with watering.

Gave the Sunny Boy tomatoes another drink, along with the okra ... around 32 oz for each plant.

Did some trimming on the tomato vines and picked 3 okra, plus hung some tomatoes in slings.

Have one medium sized Crimson Cushion that is starting to ripen.

Then hit the summer squash with 32 oz each.

Finished off the water I had left in the can on the kohlrabi which are starting to look fat.

Don't think you say anything is suffering from a lack of water.

Bat ballet cast count: at least 10 ... with one swallow of some sort.

Woman brought home some fried chicken wings from the grocery ... so I had 3 of those with some mashed potatoes and gravy when I came in.

Sadly no more pie ... ... so I had to settle for Lorna Doones with a glass of milk for desert.

Might be able to squeeze out another pie with the rest of the blueberries we have picked already plus those on the vine which we are still waiting on to ripen.

Agenda for today:

Do some banking and bill paying.

Refill bird feeders.

Refuel Cub. (It has 799 and change on the hour meter ...)

Get started on mowing.

Some work in garden later.

Beyond that see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

Let's see AI remove a tire and wheel from a vehicle in the northeast that gets lots of salt and calcium chloride on it. I would hate to try and count the number of vehicles that I've seen or heard of people having to use sledge hammers or loosen lug nuts and drive in figure 8's to try and break a wheel free.

I use and will continue to use anti-seize on my wheel hubs and lug nuts. I actually use a spray anti seize on the vehicle hub and wheel center;

This can was bought back in 2016, may be time to order another.

Then I use a nickle anti seize on the threads;

Then because of the lubricated threads I do reduce the torque used on wheel studs and bolts,
with 120-140 ft. lbs. normally called for I use my 100 or 110 ft. lbs torque sticks.

Been lubricating wheel hubs since my teen years, back then it was often getting a fingers worth of grease off of a ball joint or tie rod end and smearing it around.
I haven't had to ever use a sledge to remove a lugnut in the north.

I have had to use a sledge and then add a portapower to the mix to remove an inside rear dual wheel that was frozen on from rust and corrosion.

this all reminds me of my own trailer, which in four years has not had wheels off.
but then, I don't have a jack...maybe I'll borrow one for this.
of course, good reason to go to HF and find a nice cheap hydraulic jack.
I'd like a jack that runs off my Makita cordless drill, that would likely mean a scissors jack.
realistically I should be carrying an adequate jack with me anyway.

any suggestions for a 1200 pound single axle trailer?
I see this, but unsure

always nice to have extra capacity as long as not too hard to maneuver
where trailer sits, not close to power or air.
but I could move it closer
I carry a swedge jack in the back of my truck for my tandem axle landscape trailer.

I also carry my 1/2" impact, torque stick, and sockets with me when I haul that trailer.

I just drop the swedge under that good tire on that side and drive forward a smidgen.

72°F and .02 inches rain.

Still mowing to do, but so happy I was able to remount tire

Need to take my iPhone to Apple Store. Guess I dropped it 1 too many times and have a series of very bright streaks running top to bottom that don’t turn off.

Meeting friends back from LA for another visit for dinner tonight.

But 1st, while still having coffee need to tune in to my friend John competing in a masters swim effect.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I have several jacks but the one I use the most is this AC jack because of its long reach and high lift. The small jack comes in handy for equipment alignment like when making adjustments on the Boss snowplow etc. It also would be great to keep in a car and for its small size it is surprisingly powerful

There is a small floor jack thats light enough for my wife to use in one of the storage bins in the back of her car.

She also has a 2ft breaker bar and the correct socket with it as well.

She doesn't have the strength to break loose the lugnuts with the lugnut wrench that came with her car.

And the scissor Jack's are super frustrating and hard for her to use.

Drew - I keep one of these in my trailer:
jack

Along with a DeWalt 20V drill and battery.
Makes jacking up easy.
