Sorry, hate when that happens. I only had a front tire do that, would hate for a back tire to come off.

Shot of ether/starter fluid and BOOM.
Seems to be holding at 23 psi.
Of course started raining just as I finished.

What brand did you go with?
I have to wonder how much longer mine has it's an Amtrol that got put in over 30 years ago.
Not sure about your state but in our state mixing valve required set to least 140 so legionnaires disease doesn't grow.

I'm not aware of any "requirements", my Amtrol is set about 120F.
I don't use a mixing or tempering valve. A circulator off the boiler set to turn on when the water heater is cooler then set point and off just above setpoint.

Edited:
OK, I see that you have a new electric water heater. When I read stone lined I just assumed it was an indirect water heater, my bad.

Good evening! Tried to go for a walk but still too hot 40 minutes before sunset. 91F with a heat index of 100˚. I did get a little done today got the truck inspected and registered. Emissions inspection was $11.50 and the registration was $78.00 so good for another year. There are only 17 counties in Texas that require an Emissions inspection. The ones that are near heavy populated areas. Our county includes some of Austin.

Got the "call back" email from the "Farm" today, they are requiring working on weekends in October for the Fall festival. I signed up for the required orientation next month, going to give it one more season before I retire for good.

New blades installed and torked to 100 ft/lbs. Book calls for 100-120ft/lbs. Almost all the grass cut. The septic mound will wait until the next cutting. Am cutting at 4".

The hornets nest quiet today. I guess the liberal dosing they got yesterday killed them all.
