Drinking first cup of coffee. 66° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 88° with thunderstorms in afternoon. Did bird and fish maintenance early before heat started. Spent rest of the day inside where it is cool. Today will be similar staying out of the heat.

71 going to 94. We were lucky to have not lost power last night in the storm...15,000 in our county did, and the power company thinks we did...they sent us several texts to keep us informed of their progress on restoring power.

I worked with AI to create a couple of new labels to place on coffee bags. I'll be sending some away Friday. This one is a slight modification of the one I created many years ago.

Headed to the American Legion Meeting soon. Otherwise, take wifey on a shopping adventure and supply run.

Good morning TBN!!
70 this morning going to one more day of 100. 96% humidity. Air you can wear!

Yesterday was maintenance day for the Husqy rider. Took the deck off and cleaned it up then changed the blades and lubed. Put the deck back on and mowed around the house. Much better!
Rested a while then worked on one of my drives that was washing out.
The rest of the day was pretty much energy conservation.
No set plan for today so we will see what happens.

Time for a second cup

General Jacob Dritt, aka Jacob Tritt, Hans Jacob Tritt (birth name) Hans Jacob Dritt. He is not buried in the Dritt Cemetery. His Wife Maria Elizabeth Beyer Dritt, (Find A Grave Memorial# 77124120), is buried there and the only reference is that her grave stone says she is the wife of Gen Jacob Dritt. He was actually killed on 19 Dec 1817 crossing the Susquehanna River during winter. Several months later in April 1817 his body was found by Slaves working in a Maryland plantation and he was buried where he was found. The location of the Grave is unknown today.
