Yeah but who can afford to be without medical insurance? It's a game. They overcharge everybody to make up for the ones where insurance says no.
That's one reason why if you go in without insurance, the prices are lower.

Tricky question because those not paying will have taxpayer funded insurance here.Yeah but who can afford to be without medical insurance?
Just don't tell them. Rather like if you have a car accident. Sometimes it's cheaper to pay out of pocket than file a claim.Yeah but who can afford to be without medical insurance?
Nowadays most providers are in medical networks and they already have your insurance information. They just ask you to verify when you check in.Just don't tell them. Rather like if you have a car accident. Sometimes it's cheaper to pay out of pocket than file a claim.
Also, not everyone pays. Those that do pick up the tab for those that don't.People wonder why insurance is so costly...it's because the procedures are so costly.
Obamacare addressed access to healthcare, without addressing the cost of healthcare. Costs have gone parabolic since 2010.
I've never had that happen. They cannot file without your consent.Nowadays most providers are in medical networks and they already have your insurance information. They just ask you to verify when you check in.

My daughter's 1 week stay in the trama center and two surgeries were just over $100,000. Insurance picked it up. Blue cross is suing the guy who hit them to get their money back. He had the lowest tier insurance, so good luck with that.

Also, go to a doctor/facility that isn't in your insurer's network.
