Resolved here. Seeing reports of back on line across the globe

Yep, we were down from about 3:15PM EST to 5:15PM. Thought it was just us for a bit, did the power down/power up thing & double checked that the dish<->router ping loss was 0% (tells you whether the cable is damaged). Finally checked the web using a phone data connection & saw the down reports.
Still a shorter outage than most of the DSL problems we had before changing.

The app still indicates service down at my location in MN. Restoration seems sporadic.

If you can't say it I will: StarLink is the best rural service I've ever had. Faster even to make voice calls which we've NEVER had before, but also just daily internet stuff.
Whiny people need to fall back to Hughs, etc for a bit.

Mine was out for a couple of hours, when it first happened I switched over to a phone hot spot after about an hour that became just about useless slow.

Good to know. I rebooted my dish and my router. I couldn't research an outage because it is difficult to get phone signals out here. Impossible indoors.
I'll second the best rural option.
Our area had Spectrum run everywhere almost a year ago. No one uses it. A big waste of tax dollars. I've had all of the big players in the past. Had fiber in DFW. They all go out more frequently than Starlink has for us.

No PR spokesperson yada, yada, but the actual veep of Eng steps out.
Anybody want to bet how many seconds elapsed from the start of that outage, till he got a msg from Elon ?
One of those No-Pressure moments, for sure !

We were down for about 2 hours. Ended up thinking it was my end, and rebooted system 2 times.

Went down again about 16:45 for about half an hour.
No detailed explanation from Starlink yet.
Our back up is to drive to where there is cell coverage, which has a certain barrier to use.

I checked the app when mine went down this afternoon. While it was 'searching' it said my dish was 18 degrees out. I thought it must've taken a hit during a big thunderstorm a couple of days ago so climbed up on the roof to re-align. It hadn't moved but the app wanted it moved. Of course, once the system was up again, it said I was 19 degrees out, the other direction, so back up on the roof I go 
This is the first outage of more than a minute or two for me, still an awesome service.

Mine said it was 14° out of alignment. I thought that was why it wasnt working. I never moved it, as we were heading out to town. Now that its back up, it says its in perfect alignment.

I didn't detect any whining. I agree though, Starlink is the best internet we've had.
A speed test showed over 200 mbps after restoration and again this morning.

When I came in the house yesterday and it was down first thing I did was power down the Starlink and restart it. Since I am using it as a pass though I went to my router and it was showing an internet connection... just no surf. So I figured it was the router, replaced it with my backup unit, still no joy. After about an hour and a half I called my SIL and he said Yeah service outage. I then proceeded to restore everything to its original configuration, got done a few minutes before it came back up. Then we could browse but not stream, so I just left it alone and later it started working again.

By now everyone knows this was a wide-spread outage and ours came back late last evening. However, this morning it is gone again and has been since I arose at 4 a.m. and it's now 10. Oh well.
