I gave it a full B&B.
Bugs and Birdpoop special
he parks outside like I do, and his wife has tons of bird feeders
like I do.
and we seem equally rewarded with their attempts at recycling
almost the same dark blue as my car

If you guessed a milling machine you would be right. No longer is there a temporary crown for a tooth, I helping the dentist pay for this crown milling machine by getting a crown this morning. It makes the permanent crown in about 15 minutes in the dentist office. Yea I don't have to go back in two weeks.

80F and sunny @ 11:15, calling for a high of 88F for the day.

The Heat Dome has arrived ... 🤬

Watered and fed okra first thing yesterday, they have a really pretty flower ... and we have pods !

After that did the same with all the summer squash.

Then did the cucumbers and winter squash on the east side of the arched trellis. Also caught the one winter squash on the west side that the soaker hose doesn't cover.

Once that was done I dug out the grow bags and started planting the remaining tomatoes in those that were on the shelves using the mix I had prepared and giving them a good watering.

Got 7 done:

IMG_3767 copy.jpg

Six of them were unlabeled ... I'll assume those are Bush Beefsteaks based on where they were rescued from.

The 7th was a Sunny Boy (labelled)

I think there are now only 5 tomato plants remaining on the shelves, all of them indeterminate varieties ... and only 1 grow bag left ... so not really sure what I'll do with those.

By that point I'd had enough of sitting in the sun so I headed over to the newly cleared area in the woods.

Raked up some debris into piles there, which still needs collected and taken up to the compost pile.

Measured out and marked some more locations for arb planting holes there.

Sprayed around some of the trees.

The row of pumpkins along the back of the frog pond was in shade by that time so I headed over there and set about uncaging the 2 Casper pumpkins.

Got that done (was PITA as the vines were around 6' long) and got the 2 t posts driven in and got the goat panel put up.

Still need to thread the vines up through that.

Collected up the weeds and debris that The Woman had pulled and took those up and added them to the compost pile.

Collected 2 more summer squash in the dark using the flashlight on my phone.

And then called it a day.

On the agenda for today:

Refill bird feeders.

Water arbs in pots and remaining tomatoes on shelves.

Water yellow wax bush beans.

Water Woman's sunflowers and other 3 plants from TSC.

Thread Casper pumpkins into goat panel.

Some further clearing/grading/leveling over in the woods.

Collect up debris from over there and get it hauled up to the compost pile.

Maybe swap out the box blade for the posthole digger and get some planting holes drilled for the arbs.

Beyond that just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ... (y)

Good Morning
It was 62° when I got up, DP was 61.
Now it’s 76/63. A nice sunny day.

I had planned to mow the pastures today, but one of my neighbors came over and sprayed all the fence lines.
I’ll give it a chance to work today, and that will be a chore for tomorrow.

So I’m inside the shop cleaning and organizing, trying to rehome lots of stuff, mostly audio and PA equipment.
A neighbor with a winery will take a pair of speakers and a mixer, someone else will take a 28 channel audio snake, I’m making slow but steady progress.
The goal is to make room for the 1000+ LP’s that are still in the house in cabinets that son and DIL would like to see go away. The good news is that he will move them.
Here is some of the stuff leaving-

And here is some cable maintenance, removing intermittent, poor quality connectors and replacing them with quality Neutrik ones.

My phone is ringing, let’s eee what’s in store for the afternoon!

71°F and .0 rain

Good progress mowing yesterday, interrupted by a trip to town to buy shear bolt.
Still have overheating issue, but I paid much closer attention. Situation occurs when under heavy load, mowing tall, thick grass while driving uphill in 2nd range. Recovery much quicker ( about 2 minutes) with my added fan and full level hydra fluid leading me to believe it is related to my non oem oiler cooler. Bit the bullet and oem ordered from Messick.

Will continue mowing today with my built in breaks.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

RS, once you find it...these are cheap and easy.
after wooden stake hit by lawn crew, since my place was just surveyed, now is the time
to pound those stakes in.
the value of the survey is supposed to be long term, but lose the marker, and well.....

Drew, always thought survey stakes should have ferrous metal in them for ease of location. You could always fit a large washer around the ones in your link.

spent much of the afternoon watching concrete dry. after mixing 9 bags, didn't feel like doing much else. Sat in shade, with a little breeze blowing sometimes.
Gave pad a broom finish, after more smoothing when it set up some more.
Got my fuel pressure gauge from Amazon, shows correct fuel pressure on the ranger. Can hear fuel pump running. after I took gauge off, I tried to start, and it started. ran for about a minute, sputtered and stopped. would not restart. Should have kept gauge on during that, to see if pressure dropped. Most likely either bad gas or bad injector.
And my L3940 has totally dead battery. tried to use it today and nothing, not even an attempt to start. put jump starter on, it tried to start, but jump battery must have been low, so been charging it. that battery 2 yrs old. That reminds me, never put charger on the ranger battery.
Hot in the barn.
