Kubota MX 5400 HST 4wd
So I have some hole to dig soon. I called and found out that nobody locally rents a pto driven one for a tractor. I found a used one at my dealers, but it is rated for lower hp units. If I buy new, would like 1 made in the USA. What would you get for an mx5400 kubota?

Someone else may know of a USA made unit, but off hand, many of the gearboxes used to be made in Italy and today might be made in China. Some also appear to be the same unit made or assembled under different brand names.

Hmmm, had not considered that parts may be made different places. Thanks for the heads up.

I found that Everything Attachments makes their frames here themselves. I have no idea where the gearbox is from. I wonder if anyone has any exoerience with this brand?

that's a nice big tractor you have, have you though about a hydraulic auger?
Made in USA Digga 2DSS Auger Drive Unit
Where is it made?
All of the Digga attachments we sell are designed and manufactured in Dyersville, IA, USA.

Been working great for me. Easy hook up, reversible, visibility, etc.

I do not have a front hyd on mine, so... I almost bought one like yours when I got my 2nd tractor. I had a Ford/N.H. 25hp tractor for 31 yrs.

It shouldn't be hard to add a third function to that tractor. If it has a loader, it should have come with that option. Having the forward and reverse is definitely a plus.

Watch buying pieces though. The hydraulic one above uses hex-drive bits. Most everybody else uses square. You may be locked into a brand for accessories and mountings.

Without a 3rd function my suggestion is useless, but I like a FEL post auger. I'm using Danuser EP615.

I've never seen a square one, but they make adapters. I use a hex to round adapter on mine, adds a little extra depth too, works great.
And wow, have they gone up in price in the last 18 months lol

I do like the idea of having it in front. I know now, that I should have gotten hyd in the front and one on the back. Never thought when I bought the tractor that I would want a PHD. Talk about the price of things, I bought 2 pipe plugs to fit the oil fill and check holes on my Land Pride mower deck. I figured $10-15...$41. I asked the parts guy if I get 4 for that.
