You Know You Are Old When

After being out in the heat mowing and trimming yesterday, I threw my clothes into the washer. Later, I went for my phone. Finally found it, all cleaned up! It was a Motorola that I bought when I switched carriers last spring. I did not much like that phone anyway....

I hear ya! Don't know how I ever got anything done when I was still working fulltime.

My wife is always leaving a kleenex or two in a pocket then putting it in the wash.

As far as getting anything done, it always seems to take a lot longer now a days :)

It's usually not my wife leaving anything in the pockets, I'll have to admit it's me, my, I and usually a wadded up blue paper towel.

I left a blue paper towel in my pants pocket that went into the wash, it came out in perfect shape.

The cell phone discussion in another thread reminds me that you may be old if you had a phone number with the exchange in it. I still remember my parents' number from when I was little (rotary dial phone, of course): FL6-3390. The FL exchange was for "Flemming".

^^^ lol.!!!
I know whatcha mean..
Every day I walk in the house there’s a new stream of blood somewhere on my body.!! Lol
Took me many years but I finally learned to put on those dam “safety glasses” BEFORE turning on the grinder.!! Lol
The grinder I use almost every day is like this, except without the tool rests, shields anywhere and larger motor mounted below with a big clutch spring on it for more belt tension. I've never bogged it down. Never.
Yesterday my 40 something neighbor stops by for me to sharpen his mower blades, so I hoist his mower up like a tuna with an overhead electric winch and use an impact gun.
When I turn on the grinder the shop lights dim as he heads for the door terrified watching me in a shower of sparks.
After checking their balance I zip the blades on, as I let the mower down he asks "didn't all those sparks hurt?". "No but the last wheel did when it split in two, I never did find the other half".
Young people think old people are crazy, but we have to get an adrenaline rush somehow.
