Kyle, I always had a Midland weather radio in my RV’s while traveling. Only time it went off was while in McAllen, TX for an ice storm. Today at my home I get notices on my iPhone and Amazon Echo’s. There is a warning siren about 1/4 mile from my place. It is very loud when outside.

Good morning, the low is 63 and going up to 77°F. Wind SW 2 mph. 60% chance of showers.
If it wasn't for the deer flys it would be the ideal day to put up the roof on the tractor shed. It might get done today, but don't hold yer breath.

My phone has several weather apps on it. When bad weather close they all go off and they follow me wherever I go. The sound it makes would wake up the dead.

Good Morning
73° 99% RH outside now. Sunny and high of 85 forecast for today.
Squall line blew through yesterday evening, left us 3/4” of rain, but no damage.

Didn’t accomplish much yesterday, ran an Ethernet cable for the access point for the shed to replace the temporary one I used to verify that it would work. In the process, I discovered that the shed was 93° inside, the cheap Amazon mini split was on vacation. I’m hoping that when I look at it today, I find a leak in one of the connections that I made, and it just lost charge. That’s a much easier fix than an issue with the equipment itself.

My plan is to recover and weigh the charge that is in it and then pressurize it with Nitrogen and check everywhere for leaks. I did that when I installed it, I’m still hopeful that a flare cracked or some other easy fix presents it self.

I’ve also got to go to Battery Warehouse and get a couple of 12v SLA batteries for the UPS’ that power my network infrastructure. I’ve got an ONT, router, 3 switches and 6 access points. The plan is that the network stays alive for the time it takes the generator to start and switch over. It used to work that way, but yesterday when the power went out so did the network.
But all that is going to have to wait until after the TSA completes their inspection this morning. Just another federal agency whose oversight I have to deal with. The regulatory oversight is the one thing that I will not miss at all when I really retire.

66 this morning going up to 90+ with afternoon Tstorms predicted.

Spent 4 1/2 hours at DMV yesterday. Gave up on getting a haircut. I was done! Happy Bday Mostly!!
Mine is tomorrow, hence the reason I stayed at DMV until I was legal!

Time for a second cup

Morning all, 74 going to 90 and sunny, got 1/2" rain last night and tornado warnings, but the storm wasn't very strong.
Got another tomato and the blackberries are just getting ripe.

Nothing like having to go to DMV with same documents as before, but this time you are “real”. In the meantime, it really didn’t matter.
