I'm not familiar with Kioti, but if its like every other CUT I've ever owned, the lever is manual. So, if lever is moved to 4wd position, then 4wd is engaged, no matter what the indicator shows.I have a new (i yr. old) Kioti CX 2510 HST tractor. When I move the 4wd lever down the indicator lamp on the inst. panel does not illuminate. How can I tell if its in 4wd and the lamp is the problem ? Thanks for reading.
Okay thanks I ll try that.Park in dirt. Lift the front end up with loader, and place the loader in flat position. Engage 4x4 and see if front wheels move while going forward.
I did that and yes the front wheels were moving. Thanks for your help I appreciate it.Park in dirt. Lift the front end up with loader, and place the loader in flat position. Engage 4x4 and see if front wheels move while going forward.
I tried grsthegreat's recommendation and it worked. Thanks for your replyOr hook to something that is hard for it to pull and see if it helps when you put it in 4 wheel drive.
My tractors tend to pull a lot more when in 4 wheel drive, versus not being in 4 wheel drive.

I noticed none of the lamps work on the left side of the panel but as long as 4wd works, Im okay with it. Failure to illuminuate could be one of many things:
1. Kioti didn't equip your machine with an indicator, but uses a dash cluster common to other tractors that have it.
2. Bulb is blown.
3. Proximity sensor or switch is out of alignment or broken.
4. Wiring is disconnected.
None of the panel lamps on left side work even though one is specific for 4wd but as long as 4wd works thats okay. I ll look for why the panel lamps on left side are inoperative. Thanks againGood to hear. An indicator light is helpfull to remind you its engaged. Guess it wouldnt hurt to see if thers a replaceable lamp or damaged wire. My 2010 dk45 has electronic 4x4 switch and dash light. My old JD870 had manual 4x4 but it also had a dash light.
Hopefully your oil pressure indicator light, brake light, and anything else critical isn't in a dead section of dash panel.I noticed none of the lamps work on the left side of the panel but as long as 4wd works, Im okay with it. Thanks
Yeah I understand and will look further into this issue as I won't risk damage to a machine with only 100 hrs on it. I used to run Con Ed power plants before I retired and am fully aware of the consequence of ignoring subtle malfunctions in any system. Thanks .Hopefully your oil pressure indicator light, brake light, and anything else critical isn't in a dead section of dash panel.
Most machines will light all indicators when you first turn the key, and before rotating to "Start". Might be worth checking to see if anything important is not functioning.
Great solutionYou can do what I do.
Leave it in 2WD and go somewhere and get stuck. Put it in 4WD and if you are still stuck it is not working.![]()
This should work. Or, you could drive in the tightest circle your steering allows, and try both positions of the 4WD lever. If 4WD is working, you should see some skidding and scuffing, and feel more drag on the engine. Anybody can use this method even if they don't have a FEL.Lift the front end up with loader
Not surprised the left doesn't work.I noticed none of the lamps work on the left side of the panel but as long as 4wd works, Im okay with it. Thanks
Remove the lamp and test it?I have a new (i yr. old) Kioti CX 2510 HST tractor. When I move the 4wd lever down the indicator lamp on the inst. panel does not illuminate. How can I tell if its in 4wd and the lamp is the problem ? Thanks for reading.
