Good Morning,
Ct, 77 to start going to 90.

Scott you didn't by chance work W7W this weekend did you
Steve I didn’t personally but I can check the club records at some point !

Drew, I was strictly on 20 meters and 40 meters CW. Those bands were pretty hot considering the poor propagation 😂

Work this morning and Vermont later this afternoon 🙏

Hope all have a great day 🙏

Happy Kanuckistan day. We're officially 158 years old and still being pushed around by the older bully to the south.
Got up around 7AM and already 74F going up to 80F.
The bad part is poor air quality and high humidity. Since aboot noon yesterday we've been having periods of fairly heavy rain.
I'm staying inside where the AC is.
Pa was right. He wouldn't have AC because he said you wouldn't go outside to work after you got used to it. Truer words...
I made what I call vegetable stew and the French amongst us would call Ratatouille yesterday.
Contains roasted red and yellow peppers, roasted egg plant, zucchini, onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, passata, sriracha for a little bite, salt, pepper, paprika and a few things I've probably forgotten.
I don't follow recipes, each batch is it's own creation.
Had some for brekky over refried rice and a generous sprinkle of Parm with some cheesy garlic bread.
Boy, was it good.
Just sitting here looking out the sunroom window watching the bunny wabbit having his brekky and the birds attacking my cherries.
Most years I'd be out there with bangers and shot gun but the cherries are splitting and rotting from the rain and weather. At least the birds clean it up.
Going for coffee in a bit with a few of the remaining above ground friends.
Another was killed Sunday with his girlfriend on his cycle by a hit and run driver. Not someone close but I had known them for some years.
One of those guys that you got along with really well but never quite became buddies with.
OH well!

nice breakfast with friend, now off to Ringoes in a little while to get rv tire fixed.
going to keep it at 50 all the way, considering one of the rear tires has very little air in it.
I pumped the neighboring tire up all the way.

really want to get this done and home before rain comes. Nasty weather warnings already posted.
not what I want to have while backing my rv between the two black mailboxes at end of my driveway.

80 and humid out

Morning all;

It was a lovely 72F and 70% humidity at 6AM this morning when I went down to the shop to do a bit more on the mower beam repair. Got the sideplate gussets cut out and straps for the top and bottom cut and deburred and ready to go.
Then back to the cool comfortable house for breakfast and more coffee.
Then a little house project, the dishwasher spring had broken a week or so ago, I ordered new ones and they had arrived and were sitting on the kitchen counter. So clean out the under sink cabinet to get to the water and drain line and a couple of drawers pulled to reach the power, pull the dishwasher out and pop in two new springs and cords. Then slide it back and screw into place and reconnect. The disconnecting and reconnecting took more time then the spring replacement did.

Not sure what the rest of the day will involve other then staying comfortable.

mowers main beam all welded and cleaned up and ready for the gussets. My new tubing was about a 1/4 inch taller then the factory tube took a bunch if shimming and clamps to get it positioned and ready to weld.

All stay safe and healthy

76F with very light rain @ 11:30, calling for a high of 81F for the day with rain diminishing to a few showers this afternoon. Rain supposedly ending around 13:00.

Rain gauge shows just under 0.25".

DP 71F, HU 84% "feels like" temp = 77F.

Refrigerator clean out done last night and garbage hauled up to the cans at the road.

Still have to go through the vegetable items and clean any of those out that need to go in the compost pile and give the interior a good wipe down.

Other items on today's agenda:

Sweet potato seed water change out.

Move more winter squash/pumpkins from greenhouse in dining room to shelves out back to harden them off.

Today will probably be a good day to start spreading mulch with the rake, since it's reasonably cool outside:

By 15:00 rain chances will be down to around 2% so that will probably be a good time to pull out those last two t posts and get that 3rd side top coated.

Last night I just set cages around the okra, need to get those pinned down as I know for certain the deer will clip them off if they are unprotected.

Have some winter squash/pumpkins that really need to go in the ground.

Other than that just see what else comes up.

Butterfly weed up by the shop hanging tough ... despite all the weeds:

Don't recall what this one is offhand, planted two of them ... think the deer may have gotten the other one:

Think the dogwood in that picture has finally bitten the dust so it will probably need taken down.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday.

Morning all, WU say high of 87 and that its 88 outside (temp, not feels like)
Lots of driving, Dr. appointment with new specialist, she seems to listen and have good experience.
Of course the rest of my lab work showed up about an hour after I left to go pick up sons medical docs for College.

Got a lot done on driveway and looks like I still have one overflow left to fix. Day off for dr. and since done maybe get trench weedwhacking done before the rain starts.

Turtle made an appearance just as I was pulling up the driveway, had to wait, the little one moves pretty fast for a turtle.

used the Milwaukee screw remover to back our the screw from my Echo chainsaw exhaust, machine tightened soft metal, not a good combination. The extractor worked as advertised and replaced both screws with something less mushy.

Be well,
