My friend passed at 78 and was still running his business until the last few days… he said can’t let the old man in.

Pancreatic cancer moves fast but he was glad to have the time to pull the family together and give instructions to each and schedule meeting with his lawyer and cpa…

At 77 he reroofed his 20x30 shop and until recently would regularly walk the several miles from his business home with the last mile being a trail with rapid ascent…

Something to be said going out on your own terms…

When I bought my first Kubota I was hitched and ready to make the 500 mile round trip and he stopped by and flipped me the keys to his new Diesel Excursion saying better to have extra capacity opposed to being maxed with my V6 S10 pickup.

Blessed to have good friends but so many have passed these last few years…

A buddy's father passed while re-roofing their house. He was in his early 70's, and into fasting.

Apparently putting a new roof on your house in summer heat, while fasting in your 70's, is a recipe for negative outcomes. Who knew?

I've never had the gall to ask him how they got the body off the roof. Seemed an insensitive question, no matter how curious I am.
