BEF and others, Costco has decided to give Executive Membership up to 1 hour of early shopping at 9am every day. Starting 6/30/2025. Will be interesting to see how that works out.

Instead of mowing looked at replacing the sill beam. Took the old one out and fitted a new one. Tight fit that required the sledge to drive it in. Need to investigate some suitable grout and screw it in place with ledger screws after some more adjustments

Nice work! (I like those Viking Arms lifts that you used in an earlier photo. I had never seen them before.)

FWIW: I have found that treating the cut ends of pressure treated wood with copper naphthenate helps reduce rot.

Insurance bill paid.

Tomatoes hauled around back to shelves and then watered.

Mowed all down around the house.

Also got the front lawn completed.

Came in for a quick PB & J and a glass of milk.

Heading back out to do the compost/woodlot.

Maybe some spraying after that depending on the wind.

WU was reporting a temp of 88F before I even made it outside this morning.

I gave up executive, our costco is just always swamped with people

picked up more deck joists at Lowes. Then mowed everything, including across creek. THe Jap stilt grass went crazy, over a foot tall in places.

Well I didn't cut the grass. It will still be there for the next time I decide to cut. Didn't turn the wood pile either. I did file my insurance renewal paperwork for the Dodge...$1070.oo/year/liability& property damage/comprehensive. No collision.
Licensed for 62 years. 5000 kms/year (3100 miles). A huge difference from the 50,000 kms/year (31,000 miles)I used to do in the big truck.
Today was one of the days that I just didn't have the ambition to get outside and do anything. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th, so I wont be doing much then either. Maybe Saturday.

Thank you for the thoughts, the herd is getting old, ranging from 10-20 years old.
She stopped breeding them years ago, the plan is to let the herd shrink as they reach retirement age. I’m not sure of the exact number, but there is still over 30 of them doing well.

for now, been a long day, a/c works thankfully, was in low to mid 90's here today and sunny, despite sun tan lotion, got too much sun. And it will surely pay me back someday. I get pretty brown and brown for a fair person is not good.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.2C and it's presently 8.9C, clear & calm.

I did get to chain-harrow Paddock #2, yesterday... which was the only 'excitement' had.

Nothing planned for today. I'll be heading off to bed early IOT get up early Saturday for a trip into Launceston for a conference. Actually it's an Anglican Church Synod and my first time attending.

My back is starting to peel - in multiple layers - from all the sun I got a few days ago … and it’s wet underneath the bottom layer.

Won’t be doing that again anytime soon.

Compost/woodlot all mowed.

Some glyphosate spraying done up around the shop.

Got the 6 largest Sunny Boy tomato plants in the ground.

Also 2 more Straight 8 cukes planted as well.

Then sprayed the peach trees with fungicide again. Counted a dozen peaches on the larger tree.

Kicking back for the rest of the evening.

Had to beat more rain this weekend.
Also mixed and sprayed weed juice.

Went out this evening for dinner at Dobbin House Tavern in Gettysburg. Good ribs.

Coffee has finished brewing. 59° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 78° with cloudy skies. Neighbor asked me to do some cleanup in their yard yesterday. Several large branches had fallen out of trees. Got that done before it got too warm. Spent rest of the day on back porch enjoying the cool breeze. Grocery shopping this morning. Back field still needs cutting. Hope to get that done later today.

I just got an email from ezpass yesterday saying I added a car/plate to my account.
Thought it was a scam so went directly to ezpass, loged in , got my text code for the authentication. Sure enough there is a new car/plate on my account.

I deleted it and sent an email to ezpass asking how this could happen.
Changed my password first, but only I have my phone, so unsure how someone could have logged in as me. Glad I have notifications.

Have fun in Hawaii, I'll get there someday.

Inside job would be my guess.

slept well, having first cup of coffee and a berry scone.
another warm day today, then temps drop for four days and get much
cooler.

I have annoyed my friends saying I want to leave by 10am; that's normally when they are still getting up. They are on Euro time, I 'm on farmer time, we literally are about three hours apart every day.
hope to get home with enough time to mow the lawn; bet it's a jungle out there, should have been mowed before I left but too wet.
