Couple things I'll be keeping an eye on next auction. I did log into one last weekend, and it didn't really have a single item I was serious about. This one, couple SSQA forks, if they go cheap; a Buick LaSabre, and some others stuff mostly out of curiosity.

The LaSabre sounds like a joke, but I'll give my thought, I wouldn't be shocked if it went Extremely low; there is absolutely nothing "cool" about it.

The GMC Canyon is kinda a grand pa looking truck, 3.5L, 2wd,

The spreader is frankly, if i can luck out again, and get it extremely low, I can keep the better (or the worse?) and sell the other, and maybe make a few bucks.

Is nobody going to point out that daisywheel printer? With carbon paper!

I'd buy THAT at an auction. I can just hear that old girl printing.

Memories. . .
We still often get asphalt tickets, rock tickets, ect like this. There are normally 3 tickets; white, pink, and yellow. One for the contractor, one for the inspector, and 1 for QC guy.

Didn't win anything today, and really didn't bid to win. Threw some money at a 6 ft bush hog, but I tapped out.

I did notice an interesting trend. Mahindra tractor, 4110, with loader and all, sold for $4,000, sure it had 2000 hours; but that seemed like a heck of deal, compared to the Deere/Kubotas of similar size/age/hours, going at $15k.

There was NH Workmaster 50, no loader, 18.5 hours, that sold for $8,750. Seemed like it had a semi high clearance set up, maybe strawberry fields? IDK

Watching a couple of these import "Rock Buckets" ssqa. Don't know if people actually use them for rock, or what, but if they go cheap enough, I'm thinking they would be a decent way to pick up light debris and separate it from the dirt. Also got a 50 gal fuel tank and pump on watch, and some other things that I'm not really bidding on, but watching from curiosity, like a small 2 ton vibro roller.

I'm on my second rock bucket. First one had too much space between tangs (for lack of a better word) and it is amazing how big of a rock falls between 3" spacing. Plus it had teeth which interfered with rock pick up on hard ground. Replaced with a bucket with 2" spacing and a cutting edge, no teeth. It works okay but still conditions must be mostly just right for the best results.

I'm going to keep an eye on them; at times they go cheap, as in Cheap, all depends on the crowd. Seems things that homeowner types, and contractors are after are often pretty affordable. Kinda like 8/9/10/12 ft impliments; to large for homeowner, to small for farmers.

About a year ago, the university I work for was auctioning off a low hour running John Deere 445 diesel garden tractor with a front hydraulic snow blade. I had been watching the auction for a week and was hoping to get the tractor. I ended up having to help someone up on another floor and was away from my PC and missed the ending of the auction. That thing sold for $375 and oh was I mad!

I have seen some great buys happen there. A JD 3520 4x4 cabbed tractor w/loader sell for $1600 thinking it had a bad tranny but ended up being just a switch in the pedal. A low hour $25K commercial ZT mower that sold for $3K. A 2010 chevy with 14K miles sell for $1200 (I own this one). A 2012 Ford Ranger with 10K miles sell for $6000.

There was a contractor about to go bankrupt that took certain, specific pieces of critical machinery, and removed simple, cheap, stuff, like starters, ect off before repo guys showed; then his new business partner bought them off the NR line at the auction, for cents on the dollar.
