I've been looking for an older Kubota without emissions but they're getting scarce. This L4760 has the particulate filter and more electronics than I would prefer...
Have there been problems with this filter and the regenerative cycle, or the engine computer? The FEL stick appears to be electronic too with a manifold/valves below the frame on the right side. Anything I should be concerned about? I haven't bought it yet - if all is good I'll pull the pin next Wednesday.
Thanks in advance!

i don't think the FEL joystick is electronic. pretty sure it has cables but there is a throttle up button on it to raise the RPM's to a certain adjustable setting. too bad they made it momentarily on so you have to hold it to keep the rpm's up. and if it s got a third function it will have buttons for that as well.

If they had problems we would hear about them on here. other than keeping the fuel clean to avoid injection issues I haven't really heard any horror stories about the 60 series grand L's. I'll let you know in a couple years, brother in law just bought a L5460. he blew up the engine on his L3240 2011 with 3000 hrs. he roads it alot for snow removal in a rural area

Thanks! At work we had a 2005 35HP Kubota with a farm winch. An inmate was pulling a log at an angle (he knew better) and tipped the tractor on its side. It ran away and they couldn't shut it down. Finally, after it burned all the engine oil it could it stopped. Pulled it out, refilled it with oil and it is still running to this day ten years later. Kubota makes a great diesel engine.

We've been very happy with our L4060.

My L4060 has been problem free with emissions, electronics, and everything else over the past 9 years and 1100 hours.
It's gone through 20 regens while working, averaging 53 hours between.
I'm about 50 hours & maybe a year behind you. Issues with front wheel bearings & axle seals, but nothing with the engine or emissions in my 4060.

I have put about 20 hours on the L4760 and am generally pleased. I've done one regeneration and am now at 82% PM so clearly I need to change my operating habits - like idling or keeping the RPMs higher than I'm used to. I added a Gladiator 56 since the tractor came with a front remote. I added a cool-looking grill guard to protect the grill and the expensive stuff behind the grill from branches. I was able to burn some larger softwood waste that had been accumulating. It's a challenge for me to grab with the grapple without also lifting sod/dirt, but in time it'll get easier. Gravel work lifts the rear wheels even though they're loaded and there's a logging winch on the back, but once I have a loaded bucket the rear wheels grip enough to move around in 2 wheel drive as long as the surface is relatively level and not too bumpy.
So far so good.

It will be fine, until it isn't. Have a pair of pre 4 M series. I might sell them if the price was right. The VT engines are among the best Kubota ever made according to my dealer's head tech.
