Good morning, the low is 24 and only going up to 30°F. Wind SSE 2 mph. Snow, sometimes heavy. We will see.
Snowfall Warning in effect for:
What:Snow, at times heavy. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm (6 to 10").Peak snowfall rates of 3 to 5 cm
(1.25 to 2") per hour. Reduced visibility in snow and local blowing snow.
When:This morning through Tuesday morning. Additional information: Snow will begin for the Sudbury area early this morning before advancing eastward into central Ontario by this afternoon. Snow is expected to taper to flurries from west to east overnight into Tuesday morning. In addition, northerly winds will intensify this afternoon over northeastern Ontario and over central Ontario tonight with gusts up to 60 km/h (35 mph). The combination of these strong wind gusts and fresh snowfall may lead to localized reduced visibility in blowing snow. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #ONStorm.
There you have it...Winters' last fling, I hope.
Depending on how much we get I may need to cancel the quack appointment for tomorrow. That wouldn't hurt my feelings. It is only follow up from the vampire tests anyway.
Today is a 'watch the pretty snowflakes fall day'.
Have a safe day all
