Happy Opening Day of Major League Baseball! My fantasy teams are mostly healthy and ready to play.

Was a frosty 32 earlier and the birdbaths were ice skating rinks for the birds while the forsythias and daffodils were surrounding them with color. Should see 60 later.

My friend that also owns a house in Vermont was kind enough to bring a bed extender over yesterday after noon. This thing slides into the tow hitch and then tees off to support longer boards. The Trex boards are 12ft so they stick out the back past the tail gate over 3 ft.

Ok my other big question is that I see online that all SS recipients need to show up at their SS office to prove they are still alive. Is this more fake news? Because I haven’t heard anything about this until this morning

I use one of these bed extenders for transporting our kayaks in the back of the truck. Lots of fake news out there. One example, I use AI for researching things everyday, and it has even creeped into some responses.

Yesterday was ladies yoga day at my house, so Della and I went to the mountains. Great day for hiking...sunny, breezy and in the high 30s most of the day. Still winter up there, although I did see a patch of false hellebore shoots up about a foot high.

Freezing rain watch starting Friday afternoon and going until Monday, then a possible 6" of snow. Freezing rain is only supposed to amount to .75"

That is not a nice forecast, that much ice will be a royal pain.
Our forecast is just sloppy for most of the next 10 days.
Glad I got some material moved on the lawn before the wet spell hit's us.
Picked up a pallet of concrete and split it to two pallets after I got it off the trailer,
then used the Branson with her new tires to go 3/4 of the way around the house and stage it were it's needed. The new BKT's didn't hardly track up the lawn, it was impressive. I've dropped the chains off her for now hope it doesn't bite me.

later on I've got to make another trip to Lowes for more materials, just finished my breakfast burritos.
Time to get a move on.

Morning all, 31 going up to 53 and sunny.
Accountant has completed 2022/2023 and most of 2024 and it looks like Dad won't owe much, might even get some $ back based on medical expenses in 2024.
Missing only a few documents, so working on getting those to accountant.

Buppies, my burn pile has been sitting for months, every time I want to light it it's either too dry or too windy. There will be a day when everything comes together though.

Got all the driveway markers in, did not get enough snow to use them this year, bunch broken by delivery trucks.

Day job, more calls, maybe get some time to do more raking in front bed.

Got another section mowed yesterday. Should get started on another this morning.

Volcano on pause again. Effects for us are pretty minimal. The weather guys were making a big deal of the bog, but it was other side of the island and headed for Maui and Oahu, opposite directions. Bothers our side maybe 10% of time depending on the winds.
H&F at friends this afternoon.

Got another new rail post installed on the deck, after finishing the one I started last night. Had to remove 2 deck boards in the middle to do this post. 2 more left to go, but Now I need to decide where the new lower deck will go, so I can make the connection, which will involve 2 more rail posts. Once that's done, I can start redecking. Took all day. going to put blocking across the middle of the deck also, where I removed the 2 boards today. Just remembered, need to add more joists underneath for the end framing.

Ken, for your driveway markers you need railway track buried and cemented in 4' down and 5' up and painted neon red. At least if the delivery trucks hit them, they will know it.
