What I did with those 26-12x12 wheels....
put them on the work bench
remove the valve core
put the chains on snugly
replace valve core
air them up to maximum pressure

I never had one slip off.
That's what I did this time. They're goodentight now.

Blinding headlights viewed from my rear view mirror.

Never was a problem years ago but the last few years some new cars are just blinding.
Yeah, people replacing halogen bulbs with (non DOT-approved) LEDs. You can kinda get away with it in projector housings if they're aimed properly, but it's glare city in reflector ones.
I do wish automakers would put better headlights in their vehicles, they seem more concerned with styling than optics. Most, if not all equally guilty. Part of the problem is that the DOT's guidelines are very out-dated, but there doesn't seem to be any interest in revising them.

Nope. That’s one of two reasons you hear the static hiss versions on newer vehicles.

A study was done on this in Europe, I think initiated because they wanted to reduce noise in cities. But they also found that the beeper isn’t that effective in warning a bystander that they were in the path of danger, something about it being difficult to pinpoint the source of the noise.

The newer hissing type are much quieter, but also much easier to identify the source and direction of the sound, especially on a busy construction site with multiples of them sounding all at the same time. It sounds like someone repeatedly checking the mic on a CB radio.
The beeping is really annoying, and the sound carries a long way. Don't think I've ever seen/heard the static hiss ones you mention.

It’s particularly bad when driving a car when the vehicles behind are SUV and pickups.

Odd, can’t say ever had a big rig on the interstate anywhere near as bright as new SUV

Only one of my cars has self dimming rear view but sometimes the light is so bright I have to adjust the side mirror…

Overtime it might get better as those SUV headlight covers yellow!

They've only been standard in the US for maybe 3-4 years now, so you have to look for newer delivery trucks. Around here, all of the Amazon delivery trucks have them, and some of the UPS trucks. But FedEx and USPS has all older vehicles, with the older beepers.

I love my dogs --- at home. Never felt a need to take them anywhere unless they are reason to go, like the Vet.
Having people camping with dogs could get interesting.
We camped with our oversized German Shepard back in the 70's.
He loved the attention and was super friendly.
Miss that dog.

I lived about 3/4 mile from a quarry. Blasting is the only thing I ever heard, until they got a new loader. All day long I could hear the beeper whenever it backed up. I would have hated living nearby.

Now have some stupid little dog with no dog manners come bite him. Had family come with a Golden and a Chihuahua (stupid one at that) Golden had rib bone, little dog tried to take it, snap, broken headed little dog doing the death flop. Mind you they both belonged to the same person.
I had some try to stick their heads into my dog fence while being loudly warned to back off by the giant occupants. No deaths but some wounds. I've had my dogs go through windows (and a door) when some mutt was chasing my youngest too aggressively off lead. Geese harmed many a little mutt over the years and my bull threw couple back over the fence with a flick of a horn.
I love dogs and most are well behaved but some people

Getting cheated on Valentines Day is my peeve.
I remember when a box of candy was FULL. Now the same box has 11 pieces!

Depends on your perspective. As someone who doesn't particularly like dogs, it seems every business is going overboard trying to be "dog friendly". I miss the days when you could go to a restaurant, supermarket or even work without someone feeling they need to have their dog with them.
I understand what you are saying, and respect that not everybody likes them. Yet when I have a dog I will bring it into places where they are welcome not only to socialize the animal, but also because a lot of people do appreciate it.
I wait for them to approach the pup, and have had people thank me for bringing her in. Most hardware stores are dog friendly including TSC.
OTOH I have no place for a mean animal.

There are places where a dog doesn't belong. Grocery stores, especially in the cart are high on the list. I have never seen one in a restaurant-
Well, except for my first dog, who was a Houdini and got tired of waiting for me one day.

What I meant before is that people getting "therapy dogs" so that they can flaunt the rules makes it more difficult when somebody does indeed have a need.
It's very similar to somebody getting a handicap placard just so that they can use those spots
