Good Morning to All who Celebrate! 38° going to a high of 39°, windy and feels colder than 38° No ice on the truck this morning.

Ice storm was a whiff here. Think it was too warm for too long, freezing rain but the ground was too warm to ice proper. Still, took my time and picked my way through to an abandoned work. Everyone who could, worked from home. Surprisingly, work wasn't too terrible this week. Just general clean up and the new hires. (Other than the networking trouble on Monday)

Blade and Snow-push are on tractor, Need to straighten out the stay bars on the 3 point hitch as the blade is off-kilter when set down. Really just a question of making the lengths match as I had to fiddle with them to get it on. Don't plan on using it, mainly just for additional weight.

Have a good lead on a place up North. 12 acres, an old barn and a farmhouse built in 1830. Want to find out why previous sale fell through before I make the drive up there to look at it.

Also have a lead on a mower for the tractor, already thinking about spring and the absolute mess the grass will be. A larger mower will help cover the acreage here and become the primary mower if I do purchase the farm....decisions, decisions.

This weekend involves dealing with the ice slop on Saturday, If it's warm enough to putter in the barn I will check out the Farm Boss. Also need to re-up my supply of Motomix for the 500i. Don't think there's a kit offered for the tractor's 100 hour service, but I'm right up against 100 hours so some more investigation is required.

Phil, congratulations on your prize! You are a true artisan with wood and seeing your creations is always a pleasure.

Prayers for all ailing and recovering! Remember no more slips and falls guys! We've done our share.
Stay safe out there and enjoy the weekend!

Buppies, your rain will be our ice and New England's snow.
this is clearly payback for having two very mild winters.
good trip downtown, bought another two containers of ice melt
old underwriters always want a dry sidewalk.....

and for sure who wants to go through what Frits has. Most of us would throw our shoulder or back out.
several folks here have slipped in winter and it rarely ends well

nice to see a little blue sky, not much of it but should clear out
windy this afternoon, gusts up to 40mph
that means on way home this afternoon I have to keep an eye out for limbs down in the road.
mother nature's pruning
she never cleans up after herself though...

so many dead/dying ash trees here. Many of already been cut down.
remember my story last year of the poor couple who got squashed by a falling ash tree
at QuakerWoods rv campground.
some folks do a great job of keeping their roadsides trimmed.
others sure don't, bushes and limbs encroaching on road
and they figure let the tree fall in the road and let the State deal with it.

let it fall in the woods all you want. Just not on me and my car driving by please.
having driven two motorhomes now I sure don't want them scratched up.
not just the in the country, do you remember my heading down main street in Washington NC and smacking
into a low lying limb(from one of those "stately" old trees), that ripped off my awning cover?
Here I was trying to do the right thing literally and stay in right hand lane and let
faster traffic by. I immediately went into left lane after that and hogged that lane if I saw any trees coming.
you just can't swerve around in traffic without scaring the folks next to you.

most folks in cars don't think about looking up. Straight ahead is fine.
but anyone who has driven a larger truck understands this.
and you sure don't want to scratch the firetruck you are driving.
fairly common for us to go down long farm lanes with a guy on top of hose bed making sure the limbs cleared.

Good Morning!!!! 44F @ 6:15AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High near 55F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Rain all day yesterday with blustery wind and another inch and a half of water through the gauge. That makes 7.5" of rain in the past 7 days, all but one of which was wet. The 10-day is calling for a dry spell until the middle of next week.

Got the two west end bedroom floors cleaned, and also the inside tracks of the sliding glass doors cleaned as well. First time really using a Swiffer spray mop, and was impressed at how well it got after the shoe scuffs and drips on the laminate and tile. More of the same today.

TGIF gang!

Morning all, going up to 42 and sunny, windy.
supposed to go to my cousins for superbowl, hope I feel up to it and the snow here isn't too bad.

Got introduced to new big boss, she now knows what I do. Hope that's a good thing.

My first round of Ash felling was long property borders, Front road and Neighbors.
Glad I did that first as one of the neighbors trees fell in the road. Anther neighbor across the street had multiple Ash take out our power lines (on our side of the street).

It was expensive to get the huge ash near the house done for me, but my guy let me do cleanup to save about 1/2 the cost. I lost count how many 24"+ Ash I took out myself. But I will say I have plenty of firewood and got many planks for tables and benches.

Can't believe I'm still so out of it after two weeks. I just don't heal very quickly, even taking Vitamin K and lots of supplements that the Dr ordered. I also keep forgetting things, like words which has me worried. Need to figure out what to eat to help with my memory.
My next Dr. appt is not till July, maybe will try to find another Dr. to get it done quicker.

RNG watch you don't float away. Are you going to put your old house on the Market soon? Spring is around the corner (supposedly).

When I get better I want to get out to see PopGadgets new digs and see if I can lend a hand to him and Drew. Feel cabin fever as I haven't been off the property too much this year.

Still have to buy the items to finish putting back the garage ceiling and trim.

and call my dad, though I know not much has changed there.

be well,

65°F and 1.03 inches rain. Feels 7° cooler.

Need to wrestle that water pressure tank into place. Need to replace the drain valve but trying not to have to make a special trip to HD just for that. May have to see if there is an alternative.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
