Plowing all done for now. More to come later, maybe as early as Sunday.
Re oil/filter changes, on the Dodge it gets oil and filter changed once a year usually in the spring. Last Spring changed the oil and filter and front brakes...It didn't go anywhere all summer. This past fall when the snows got put on we also changed the rear brakes. They were getting iffy.
This spring the oil & filter WILL get changed anyway. There might be 600 miles on the oil from last spring, but if I keep it on the same rotation then I will never forget. The Z-turn got changed last fall when I sharpened the blades, so that is good for another year. The genny needs to be done this spring as well.
I don't have any reminder for oil changes on my '13 Dodge Journey, I don't need them.

Good afternoon all. 45ºF for the start. mostly cloudy sky, windy.
Resuming Thursday 6:45 AM CST post 607:
Happy(NC) glad you had some enjoyable weather. Hope you heard from FEMA. Hope pine tree cleanup progressing
Buppies glad winds have died down. I don't doubt the possibility of evacuation is scary beyond description. Hope you get job and nap :) prayers sent.
Drew good point on who backs up the warranty. The code readers I have used did not have selective code deletion, and would clear all codes anyway to make sure all codes being generated are dealt with. That's the trouble with using a mechanic you don't trust :(
Paul glad shed is now ordered. Door strike looks great, hope powder coat as good as the fab work. Smoked brisket and pork, my belt line is expanding just thinking about it :)
Paul last time I had diagnostics done at dealer a couple of years ago, it was only $90 and if work done that folded into labor.
Dennis saw this video this morning
Scott(VT) hope you stayed warm at work.
RNG Thanks for Scangauge 3 reminder. Good to hear progress on the firewood. Could save the UDT or gear oil as backup for chainsaw. Sorry about insurance costs, further incentive to get house sold :) Hope shipping container sold.
Ken glad weather calm again, hope no house or property damage from tree parts. There has to be something blowing the headlight on Jeep, have you checked ground and connections?
Frits glad Cody getting groomed and loosing the tumble weeds out of his fur. Glad new infusion appointment set up, hope not too far out.
David lightning enough to keep me from mowing :) Hope kabocha soup turned out good. Hope guys did well.
Phil hope seat time was good, and snow control successful. Good looking soup ! Neat wood work project.!!
Drew glad SUV did fine on errands. Do you have the 3.5L ecoboost?
Need to ride, more catch up later.

Afternoon all.
36 and raining currently.
Fridge delivery went ok except they wanted to charge 45 bucks to swap 6 bolts on the door to reverse the hinge!
No thank you! Did it myself.
Forgot to grab some pics of the pellet stove cleaning. Old age remembering I guess! All back together and hopefully good till the end of the season.
Still no news from post office!!!
That's it for now. Nap time.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Don, that agrees with what i've seen reported so far, I had watched the ATC videos over and over, and with the confirmation by DOD that the Copter was too high, I believe the copter pilot was looking at the wrong plane also, and didn't see the one slightly above him.
The only downside to that scenario, is the copter was told to go behind, and he was going up in elevation and passing in front IF AA3130 was what he saw.
Sad.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 16.2C and it's presently 26.8C, mostly sunny with a gentle breeze.

Not much going on, just enjoying the Summer weather. There's a 'heat warning' currently on for high 20's to low 30's temperatures 'til Thursday. That is warm for Tasmania, especially with no rain in the forecast.

That's about it, take care all.

Interesting video on the crash.

I don’t have all that many hours flying, but I flew out of a pretty busy airport in Atlanta, PDK, Peachtree Dekalb, and have to say lights at night were major factor to me. Always took me longer to be sure. Will be interesting to learn why the helicopter was climbing, but way to early for concrete conclusions.

Afternoon all;

Had some odd job stuff to do this morning, after breakfast I filled bird feeders and headed up to get my wifes car checked over. Had two recalls to be done to it, one for the adaptive cruise not stopping some times, and one for the vehicle not playing an audio warning tone loud enough. Damned thing is loud now. And then had two other issues to be looked at. It's an EV and the indicated state of charge went from 80% to )% overnight on the app and the cars indicator until it was started/activated then it went back to79% charge had numerous messages go across the screen and a vehicle needs service light turned on. Drove it and all seemed fine, did a couple of short trips with it and all faults cleared. And then a common complaint about these is the charge port door open doesn't clear when it's cold out unless you press gently on the hinge side of the cover. Of course they couldn't replicate that issue because it was warmed up in the shop.
So most of my morning was spent either driving or sitting and waiting in the Chevy dealership, from 9 AM till almost3 PM. Will have to say that the little electric vehicle does good around town indicating over 3 miles per kwh of "fuel" but even rural roads with a 55 mph limit in cold weather it drops back down to 2.2 to 2.4 miles per kwh.
This is in cold weather it has gotten up to 27F here today.
Going to warm up a bit tomorrow so we can have a weather advisory;
."WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 3 PM EST FRIDAY...* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected including freezing rain. Total snow and sleet accumulations of an inch or less"
Oh boy, what fun.
Now waiting on a phone call for a pre surgery appointment for another knee replacement, just more fun.
Let’s hear it for knee replacements – yay! I am recovering from my first one which was operated on December 3, and my operation for the other knee is scheduled for April 2 – the day after my birthday! Very much, looking forward to having both knees working Great again.

Good evening all. Moderate wind, brisk gusts, sky cleared off, and high temp was 63ºF. Made coffee to start day, Made oatmeal for breakfast. puttered, made a catch up post on TBN, bike ride, wind penalty .7 mile, surprising for west wind. Changed bikes for tomorrow's ride, need a lot of clothing changes when temp goes from 37 to 65ºF, and Volagi has much more storage. Did get nap in and grilled brats for dinner.
Resuming Thursday 12:48 PM CST post 202,623:
Bill I understand you know when you need headlights for you to see, but do you when others will have trouble seeing you?
Ken that may be best solution for Jeep, the hard part in driving old cars is knowing when to say when.
James the art of buying and selling stock not for faint of heart. There can come a time to divest of stocks. Or gold for that matter.
Lou sorry you are having some teething issues with new EV. Glad it is miserly about using up electricity. Hope you come through the weather alright.
RNG that is a lot of info on the screen.
Dennis sorry about health insurance problems. Unless someone organizes a class action lawsuit, they are always right :(
Randy(wag) enjoy your easy days when you get them.
Scott(vt) Good evening to you sir. Enjoy your vacation. I am eating healthier than I have, but have a long way to go. Need to get Forks over knives cookbook and sources for the ingredients.
Today 3:41 AM CST :

Two_bit nice of you to drop of some Blue Bell ice cream. Hope meetings and calls went well.
Drew hope you don't get much ice. Hope the taking your friend to PT went well. Does he have a manual wheelchair for those kinds of trips?
Phil sorry Post Office having a time delivering your title. I often use UPS or FedEx when it needs to get there. Hope the pellet stove got it's cleaning and you survived the effort.
Drew I just wrote about using lighter chair.Hope friend will less insistent for short day trips around town.

Frits glad Cody back and good grooming session. Sorry wrist hurts, sprains can take longer to heal.
NHBX hope you get your aquifers replenished. Hope snow control goes well.
Drew I can read oil life left by going the reset oil life page. I did drive stepdaughter's excursion part way home over this last Thanksgiving, totally different dash!
Buppies I worded question poorly. At times vortex will let more cold air south then other times. I was wondering if door was opn or closed to let more air south. Glad fir going out and probably no threat to evacuate. Prayers sent.
Bill hope plowing was fun.
Mike had to laugh at training course to run your vehicle's dash.
Ken hope ice melts quickly. Sorry to hear about GF more negative help than positive help. Sorry cold not done with you and son, and wife is suffering.
Scott(VT) hope you found enough motivation to get rest of cellar way to basement painted. Will have to try to pull up the oil life page on my 2018 F150. Thanks for tip
Drew have no idea if Akebono are worth the price differential or not. I with you on thinking Bendix was good brake brand.
RNG that is what I do on oil changes. The oil looks so bad(dark dirty oil), hate to go much extra. Glad buyer showed up and bought container, sorry his driver was so entertaining. Hope battery run went well
Lou first time I saw the ridge removal was on aircraft brakes. I talked to chief mechanic and he said works surprising well. Thanks for racing brake info.
David Sorry guys lost H&F Glad soup usual delicious.
Frits thanks for info on Akebono. Drew's vehicle has gas engine so uses engine vacuum.
Scott(VT) I reset oil life too at oil change so it won't nag when it thinks time to change.
Mike but it works! As long as it works...
Scott(VT) I have credit card receipt, and the empty 1 gal jug that gits saved for recycle next oil change.
David you are right, but as we get older and crankier sometime we give in because it's not worth the fight. Sounds like Sophie was more reasonable than Drew's friend.
Dennis good idea on taking pic of oil going in engine. Glad you got filters for the cars. Glad good breakfast. Nice getting 14 miles on bike, have yet to pass 20 miles on stationary trainer.
Don funny you posted same video just before I did.
