Speaking of probate my father’s estate stayed open for 10 years one piece of real estate would not agree finally sold it. The only cost to me was filing each year no legal fees. I still have a bad taste about this but we made out really well in the end.

That was funny Fuddy

successful morning.
only got suckered into a 300 dollar add on for "security" nonsense, etched windows, but nothing else.
they told me they had to give me a "we owe" on the moonroof, it has a problem.
Truck is going into same dealers Ford dealership, let them fix it.

nice drive up busy route 611 through Doylestown headed for Bedminster,
where the world's best mechanic lives...
and after we cleared a bunch of old codes likely that were hatched by a battery change,
no new codes. No cam codes, no timing codes, nothing. Wonderful.
only negative was I couldn't find out how to turn on the heads up display.
Neither could Popgadget. Good reason, wasn't available that year, first year of redesign.
oh well, at least it shows speed limit digitally.
adaptive cruise takes some getting used to.
She's a big girl, but pleasantly surprised me with 19.3 mpg on trip home from dealer.
just have to keep your foot out of it, but also pleasantly surprised that when you put your foot in it,
the sound while not V-8 like, did have a nice snarl. Not an agricultural gnashing like my volvo...
Ten speed automatic and cool little readout with ten on top and zero on the bottom showing which gear you are in.
I never got out of 8th.
This 400hp tune is about equal to acceleration of GM 6.2 420hp due to a little more torque.
but no magic, if you use it, you pay for it in mpg

Popgadget was hard at work making a bushing for his excavator
white stuff on him not plastic, but pure Zoe

Neither do I.

I keep my license clean for a reason. lower insurance is one of them, the other one was that I wouldn't have to do a road test for the 'A' that after the end of this month I won't have anymore. I will still do it for the insurance premiums though.

I think you can change it over to F on your end. I'm not sure, though.

VE3HMS is the closest one. 6 miles south of me.
The one you quoted is 513 miles north (a 17 hour drive on good roads) of me and west of Moosenee, ON.

Lou, I have never run studded tires, but I am thinking about them for next winter.
In just snow they make almost no difference, when it gets packed down they help a lot, when it becomes ice they shine compared to non studded snows. Compared to the so called all season tires even the ones with three peak designation they are amazing.
Unfortunately they are not inexpensive the set of 4 for my wifes new car were right at $1200 dollars for the set mounted and balanced and I had downsized the rims to 18" for a bit less ridiculous pricing and more sidewall..

Good morning, the temp right now is 31 and it is going down to 28°F. -15 overnight. Wind S 11 mph. Getting breezy later in the day. NW 18 gusting to 30 mph later today.
Forecast was for 2" and we've got 3 so far with a lot more coming before this little storm is done. Block heater is turned on. Will plow about 1 or so.

There was only one winter that I ran without snow tires, that was waaaaayyyyy back in 1971, I put brand new bias ply Firestone summer tires on my Plymouth and ran them for the winter. Whenever I went to work I always ran the back roads.Smart? NO. Economical? Yes. Have I done it again? NO! Now I get 5% off my insurance if I use snow tires in winter.

My insurance company is saying that if I allow them to put a tracking device on my car that will lower my rate by 20%. I am saying NO!. Absolutely not. This tracking device is supposed to be an app on my phone. I wonder how that will work when quite often I leave my phone at home or IF I take it with me it is shut off.

Time to get breakfast into me.

Have a safe day all
My insurance company has an app. 15% discount as I recall. Tracks phone use and harsh braking. Does terrible tracking route, likely due to poor cell coverage. Had Sophie on it initially but they complained she didn’t drive enough.

40 deg and a light drizzle that hasn't even registered. looking at Radar, don't know where this big snow tomorrow is coming from. Guess it will pop up from somewhere.
swapped my wifi alarms, so the good one is now on the mailbox, and the one I had to cut the screw off the cover, is now indoors serving it's purpose.
First time on mailbox, wasn't getting any txt messages from it, so took it back off and brought it back in. Then saw online, messages were received from it, but they hadn't been sent to me yet. But did take the opportunity to put new batteries in it before reinstalling in mailbox. Wire for door switch just goes thru bottom at the door where I had to beat it out and there is now a gap. put the unit on a strip of wood, then just used a regular wood screw to attach that to the post. too much work to remove the lid of the unit, fish wire thru hole in back of mailbox, and reassemble, then screw the unit to the post, all while dodging traffic with little room to spare. Had to climb the bank once.
sun just came out.
Cold 3 days coming mon-wed, but night temp now up to 4deg, was negative, so maybe not as bad as earlier predicted.

thanks David.
spent last ten minutes jockeying it around in parking area so I can get other car past it.
need to take volvo in tomorrow's snow; determined this Ford had Kelly tires, a budget line of Goodyear,
and they were half worn. just enough to pass....but would be awful in the snow. So until new tires are installed,
no snow driving for it.

ouch, sorry Frits. Stay vertical
