Used to do a lot of skiing here. Cousins were all in to it. Go for hours at a time. Breaking our own trails, night skiing. After I quit milking I went out for most of the day. Didn't bother my knees that were shot from milking.
We moved here to ski. Where did you live here?

Double post. No new snow here but the neighbor girls (Mi tech students who are away) snow came off their roof and filled two of there parking spots. Its been warm here for days and this snow was full of rain water. I should add that its illegal to park in the street here, over the winter.

A rather significant lake effect event is expected for the second half of this week for areas along Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Currently, the highest totals are expected in the eastern half of the UP but heavy snowfall is expected along Lake Michigan and the western third of the UP.. As usual, snowfall rates will sometimes near or exceed 1" an hour, making travel very difficult. Snowfall totals could be near 2' in some areas, but the exact location is still uncertain.

Here are recent photos of snow photos taken by us in the Keweenaw of Michigan. The Keweenaw is a very large peninsula that extends northeast into Lake Superior and receives ample lake snow. Just ask if you don't know what lake snow is. The 1st two photos is our roof snow. Let us know if you like them and we'll add more as they are taken.
That white stuff and the stuff that melts it on the roadway, just two of the reasons I no longer live in Minnesota!
It is so nice, not needing to break out the hot wrench every time I need to remove a nut or bolt! My van is approaching 20 years old, with almost no rust!!

Ya it is awful, we used to live in Kansas, but our AC broke down, we moved north. No idea how people live there before AC. We have none here.
