Let me know when you understand how little power an EV consumes when it is just running the HVAC, even at 120°F.
And you let me know how much that heat pump consumes at 0F, it is a considerable amount.

It sure as heck is when you are watching the energy usage and driving in zero weather.
I kind of like my wifes electric car and it has some potential it damn sure is NOT the best thing to come over the hill since sliced bread. It needs much more capabilities before it can replace an internal combustion engine for people in rural areas and intemperate climates.

No worries. A bunch of flat earthers just got their world made spherical by traveling to Antarctica, and saw the 24 hour sun 🤣

Whoops

False. But nice try. Now explain your reasoning. 🧑

When a flat earther declares those who do not wet their pants over EV’s are morons, it is interesting.

I am a hillbilly who managed to go from eating groundhogs and raccoons to being a CEO.

Life is what you make it….God willing.

BTW, the earth is round like every other planet unless you are a moron. And EVs suck for most Americans. Is that clear enough?

True. The earth is round and flat.

Super cold weather trips do knock down the range, so far I have not had to charge on a 200 mile (100 each way) trip, but there was one cold trip into Montana (no chargers) where I think the 140 miles we drove with heat 78* interior 4 people and hilly roads a range of about 180 miles was likely about it.

Overall for short town trips the EV is the best winter car I have ever owned and there was that one day that in a no warning emergency( truck block heaters not plugged in) the Tesla was the only one that would "start" and was nice and warm and ready to go in about 5 minutes.

Long distance / bad winter roads I most likely will take one of the the 4x4 trucks, lots of ground clearance and I do not worry at all about range or keeping the interior nice and toasty the whole way. I still like them All.

If driving the EV on longer drives I charge to 95%

The mileage in my ICE vehicles is about 25% less in winter. My range goes from 400 miles in the summer to about 300 miles in the winter. There are several contributing factors:

Winter blend gas
Headlights always on
Heater always on
Occasional warm up before driving
Rolling resistance in slush/snow

Sorry for the non-EV post ;)
