I only see one chain at the rear of the machine, it needs a lot more than are visible.

I don't know, the specs say it weighs 78,000lbs, and I think most of the weight is going to be in the rear of the machine.
Regardless, he is going to be overweight on his drive and trailer axles.
Steer axle 20K
Drive axles 34K
Trailer axles 20K each

That's 114K total axle capacity.
Which leaves 36K for truck and trailer empty weight.
I would bet his empty weight is more like 40K+.

Legally permitted yes, but technically US rigs have 6.5 ton front axles because you just cant get that 5th wheel weight on the front axle with that wheelbase. Most Euro trucks dont have 10 ton front axles either, unless equipped with truck crane behind the cab. 47k is 21 ton, again most US rigs have 40.000 pound tandems because 34.000 is legally allowed.

With a Euro truck it has room to spare within technical and legal limits. But US trucks are built lighter because they arent allowed the same axle loads and GCW as us, so its going to exceed the manufacturers axle rating, unless its heavy haul specced.

This was my business for 41 years before leaving nevada, 22k was easy on the front, set black fa is the only way to go heavy haul.
