So... I hate the hype... the sales of stuff no one really needs... & the sales that aren't really sales at all... but this year black Friday was good for us..... Two of the companies we use to get my wife's supplements for her Chronic Lyme Disease offered 20%... these companies never offer discounts...so for us this was a blessing....

But my best Black Friday Deal.... My better half felt good enough to go out for date night.... there were no discounts... no deals.... but a rare & great night that I will cherish....

You've been thinking about it for a while. Hopefully it will do everything you want it for... otherwise you will need to upgrade to a TLB.

I will have a TLB in 2-3 years when I upgrade hahaha as I kick myself.

Not a Black Friday shopper but several companies I trade with have been filling my inbox touting Black Friday deals... so ok.

Zero success... best guess is company servers overloaded.

Tried many times today using different devices and work internet with no luck.

I would think going to the effort to promote the companies would be able to accommodate?

My inbox is about 3 times volume and it seems that any business I have ever bought or contacted is emailing specials...

We have a list of kids we buy presents for through a church program.

One 10 year old boy wanted a tool kit, so my wife bought him a $35 "child took kit" but the square ruler was really cheap plastic.

My wife asked if I could pick something up to replace it. Thing was, Weds night, T-day the next day (she informed me that she had to get the presents Saturday morning).

This meant I had to deal with traffic on Friday, which I wasn't looking forward to, and never do.

Had to go to the office for work in Greensboro on Friday, and I just happened to ask the guys if there was a local hardware store around...

Turns out, no more than 200 yards away was a ACE hardware that I never paid attention to right down the road.

Ended up buying not only a square ruler, also picked up a nice "real" screwdriver set.

Those two tools probably cost as much as the took bag kit LOL, but the boy should have some tools he could be proud to have.

Probably wasn't the greatest deal in the world, but pulled right in, walked in, no crowed, got what I wanted, walked right out and then drove home. BEST deal of the day not having to deal with stupid mall traffic on a black Friday!

I love when an old thread comes back to life!!!

I've been working on fencing in a 27 acre pasture for my goats and horses. Eventually I'll have cattle here too, and then I'll have to fence in all of my 68 acres, but the important thing is that this pasture is almost done. It will be done later today!!!

I needed 3 more rolls of horse fence. It's 4 feet tall, 200 feet long and normally sells for $300. Attwood's has a 20% off coupon in their sales flying in the store. You just grab the flyer as you walk in, and the cashier scans it. So that's $60 off on a roll of fencing!!!

The catch is that you can only use the coupon once. So I bought one roll with the coupon. Then I got another flyer, got in another line and bought another roll with the flyer. Then I did it again a third time, in another line and bought all three rolls for 20% off and saving $180. Since I'm Farm Except here in Texas, I didn't pay any tax either!!!

The kids in the load yard didn't care that I had three separate receipts. I doubt they even thought about it. They just loaded me up.

I hate shopping. I hate dealing with crowds. But I love saving money, and in this case, it was worth it!!!!
