Rops Mounted LED Pod's 3D Printed Brackets.

Some of you may know I design and own a 3d printer. This is my latest entry. Rops mount light brackets. Everything came out nice. But I will say the front lights are blinding if you turn your head. They either need blinders, or to be placed all the way at the top of the rops. The back are fine. Since I don't put my Rops up often enough, I am not sure if I am going to move them. I also designed a nice switch box which almost looks factory installed.

Look good, what filiment are you using? I'm trying pla+ for tractor parts right now. If they don't hold up I have ABS to try.

What are you using for design software? I had been using the budget Solidworks but not real happy with it.

PETG, don't use pla+ not UV protected. and has temp issues.

Use either PETG or ASA, ABS doesn't have a UV inhibitor

I'm using 360.

My understanding was the pla+ was slightly better at UV resistance (compared to pla). I'm surprised ABS is a problem as it's used pretty regularly outside.

Haven't had temp issues with pla+ so far.

ASA was created solely for outside use with a UV inhibitor.

again, it may take literal years, but i prefer not to redo things.

pla and pla+ can melt in high temps, Pla (not sure about+) tends to disintegrate after a while, pla is not really used for functional prints, I only see pla+ used for fosscad if you know what that is, for functional stuff.

Well, at least the nice part about 3d printers is I already have the file, so I just print another one out with a different material if it fails!

Not at this time, the placement is not great, I had to design blinders to deal with it, and there is a bit of customization. your better off putting the lights at the top of the ROPS, but mine is never folded up.

they make magnet mounts, not sure if that is an option for you, it would be by far the easiest.
