Not my favorite episode of the series, but honestly... even an average episode of that show was better than the best from many others.

The one where Edith was going thru menopause was probably the funniest one I can remember.

2 great actors, from the era (of TV script-writing) worth watching !

Easy to forget, how much Time flies by..... had a chat with a younger guy @Work recently, talking about impact of Tech on people (Cell phone vs. actual communication skills).... I commented how scarily accurate a lot of good sci-fi writing often is. Time factor.... he'd never seen any Star Trek TNG..... I suggested he go back and find at least one episode on The Borg.... then look around today.....

At work we have some very talented 20 somethings that I sometimes forget are too young to young to pick up on things...

One if the docs said back to the collective and the 22 year old admit clerk looked at me and I said Star Trek reference and she said what's that.

Sometimes very early 4am in the morning I put on a eclectic selection on the main lobby video screen...

Yesterday it was Big Band and several said they had never heard music like that saying leave it on
..

What's old is new.

Speaking of that it looks like mandatory replacement is on the horizon for backup diesel generators not meeting tier standards and gas fired steam boilers... here in my part of California.

Certain things have timeless appeal. Doing Audio work, I heard plenty of Big Band tunes in HS - I'm not old enough for that original era, but a number of my friends were in StageBand - Dorsey et al, had some catchy tunes - even for a young rocker punk @ the time.

Those of use with experience with modern heavy-transport diesels well know...... Complexity Up, Reliability Down..... though that relationship is hardly New.

Didn't keep up with the New Math (a number Can Be, Whatever It Wants to Be...) myself, so I'm only guessing..... perhaps Power and Heat aren't needed, in a 21'st Century Hospital now......

I learn New Things, Every Day !

Ran my Predator 3500 inverter yesterday to power my pressure washer. It only sees REAL use once every 24-36 months, so this is about all I can do for it.

Me, I find that helps (mentally) sync things, if I use a gen to do Something Else that I was going to do anyway..... 2 Stones, 1 Bird, or something like that....

Still the 3. Just that it was the baby’s turn for service…😬
I remembered the Family Photo..... the other pic had wondering if the count had grown !

Potato Chips, Generators...... can't just have One...... or Two...... or......

Joking about this, I think it was 90's pic of (maybe not even) all his Pliers, fanned out on a moving-blanket..... Can't just have 20 !

There are worse addictions, to have.....

I’ve neglected my powerhouse for months after my last upgrade/improvement to the fuel system.
I removed the steel 55 gallon drum as my fuel supply and replaced it with a poly 30+- gallon drum to minimize moisture accumulation in fuel.
During the last test I operated my house for approximately 11 hours on 1 gallon of diesel with the system operating in auto mode.
When in auto the engine starts & stops using battery voltage triggers.
Yesterday I decided to plug in a 1.5kw heater to load the battery banks. Shortly after turning heater on I heard the Yanmar crank up & start. 90 seconds after start the engine was loaded when the time delay expired and energized the alternator.
I had obviously left the system in auto mode which worked perfectly. 👍
My original intention was to discharge the batteries then start & give each genset a good hot supper.
This time I will disable auto mode so I can properly discharge batteries then charge them with each genset and finally equalize them.
Afterwards I will perform a load test to determine how many amp hours I have left.
Both battery packs are quite old but still have useful capacity for my needs.
To be continued!!
