Here's one I'm feeling this morning: 2-factor authentication.

Every effing website seems to be going to this, now they want me to wait 5+ minutes to receive a stupid code by email, or else give them my cell phone number for a slightly faster retrieval, just to log into my account on their website. I know my passwords, and my passwords are strong, so stop penalizing me for the stupidity of others who cannot remember or create strong passwords.

Even worse, half the time I get onto doing something else while waiting for the stupid temporary passcode to arrive, and then it's expired by the time I get back to enter it. Start all over...

Top of the list right now. The ones that want to only text are off limits as are ones that require a cell phone. I have no cell service nor do want one. Yes I could do wifi calling but the land works without electricity

I set up the optional 2step authorization at my CU; all of my money goes through it, I am not taking any chances. One credit card also made it mandatory... I cut the card up.

Cabela's had started something new; you have to certify that you are over 18 to enter their website. I was looking for a sleeping bag and said "No" because that's how I am... ask a stupid question I'll give a stupid answer.

Now they won't let me on but that's OK, I ordered from someplace else which doesn't have an age limit for buying camping equipment.

My preferred method is banks that require a one-time 2-factor authentication, but then remember your IP address or cookie your machine, to pair with the login/password. That way, you can do repeat logins from your own computer(s) with userid/password, and skip the onerous 2-factor, but you maintain the security of 2-factor for those trying to brute-force passwords from other locations.

The only chips I eat any more are the kettle chips style, thicker than the usual Lays/Herrs crap. Cape Cod makes a decent kettle chip, if you're looking for a national brand, but you can find even better thru local brands.

Unfortunately, so many of the local brands are gone. We do have a brand made in-state called Wrap City which are very good (but also quite pricey).

I don't know if Wise chips are still around, but for whatever reason they couldn't manage to package them so you actually got (mostly) whole chips and not a bag of crumbs. Every other brand, even the store brands seem to have figured it out but not Wise.

People here must be thinking they're getting their money's worth when buying bags of chips.

Anything in the store that's sealed, and especially chips since there's so much air in the bags, looks like it's overinflated, ready to burst. Not as in inflation, but because of the altitude.

Even K-cups should be manually punctured by pushing them down before closing the lid to avoid having coffee shooting out. The ones that haven't already lost their seal that is.

I read the weight. By having the sealed bags puffed up with air they likely have less breakage. The bags I mentioned which started this line of discussion were not sealed because the back seam wasn't glued for some reason.

True, but that only works once the packages are up here.

We get plenty of crumbs in Trisquits etc. since most everything is packaged at lower altitudes and gets crunched (in shipping?) before it gets here.

I know Snyder's and Hersey. Like the pretzles, some Hersey stuff is good.
Starbuck is not good coffee IMHO and I don't do froofroo coffee.

Seen UTZ never tried it, the rest not a clue and I used go to Allentown several times a year for a couple of decades.
