Morning all, 42 going to 59 and sunny, dry.
Did some more watering and wandering around waiting for eye to heal.
Setup specialist for eye, hopefully healed by tine I see them.

M7040 - Wow your daughter already doing a lot in Tokyo, I love going there, every neighborhood is totally different and there are 19 major ones. little crime and lots of unusual culture differences.
Shinjuku is my favorite neighborhood as on the weekends it turns into a very large pedestrian area and is like going to a bug block party where everyone just has fun and no crazy people show up.
Like being in a small town for friendliness, but in a big city.

Mostly, my front yard is >4 acres of woods, so that was me trying to be funny. When I lived in NY, one of my neighbors was a neat freak and called me to complain my grass was too high in my 20x15 patch of grass  . So I went to cut it and my neighbors husband came over to apologize :) I had not cut th grass in two weeks as i was traveling.

Harris is in town today so the roads are going to be a mess. We will stay up on our little hill until it's over.
Need to get the dogs nails trimmed and then over to the high school later for a college finance session.

Looks like after tonight will warm up a bit, no sign of rain in 10 day, so more watering.
Water more each day than I did in the last 8 years total.

Be well,

Still some colors in the back area. Amazing that a few years ago you could not see 3 feet into this area. The cleanup is going slowly but well, still a lot of fallen ash to move out. If it wasn't so dry I would have the firepit going every night.

I’m kind of at a loss for words today !
Sorry to hear about Ginty. I am sure Ginty provided a great deal of enjoyment for you and vice/versa. It is so hard to lose a pet.

We are scheduled for a rain shower this morning-- first precipitation in months. Might be a dusting of snow this weekend. Fall is here!

Everyone have a great day !!!

Yes she is exploring and interesting to follow along with what she is doing

"Today was a museum day. Went to the Tokyo Photography Museum and the Nezu museum. Both were vastly different but very interesting. The Nezu Museum is situated on beautiful grounds that contain amazing gardens. It’s in the middle of the city so it feels like stepping away into a secret place when you are there."

"I really liked the current exhibit at the photography museum because it explored portraiture in a new way — not only photos of people but of the spaces / rooms they reside in and how their possessions — or lack there of — are a testament to their identity."

Frits, I'm pretty sure the campground you visited me at was damaged by flooding

went for long walk all down the docks, wind had kicked up the water, whitecaps starting, felt good to walk. I doubt these floating homes are very hurricane proof.
Someone's home made boat at the dock with a Louisiana hull ID decal on it. Not etched into hull but on a sticker. Needs a little TLC on outside but likely will never get it.
this looks like a put away wet boat and look at all the cleaning effort saved.

am working on reservations for final leg of trip.
while outside set up septic hose, always an engineering challenge of managing flow and low points. Today was easy, like these supports better but harder to store

Good morning! Low of 37°, only going up to 66° today, maybe a shower later this afternoon / evening. Tomorrow has a 70% chance of showers. Snow in the higher mountains.

The low 70's return next week. Low temps forecast to be in the 30's.

Pond repair was successful. The upper waterfall was hitting a plant ledge which caused the water to splash backwards into the stones. Relocated the upper portion to the side, alleviating the issue. No water loss this morning confirms the position is good.

Knee complained all night, only grumbling this morning. Glad I have PT tomorrow. ----manipulate those nerves baby!

Don't think today's agenda will include anything but keeping the furniture in place.

Everyone have a great day!

Plowhog are you feeling better?
About 98% again, thanks for asking. Wife is about 95%.

+1 for experience today. Returned home from a recent motorhome camping trip with the RV holding tanks still full. I have an "RV dump" inside the garage where I park the motorhome, but I have never used it.

Got the drainage hose connected to dump the tanks, and reached for the "black water" (sewage) lever .... then went Whoa!

Decided to first try dumping the "gray water" (sink) water. Due to a missing rubber gasket where the drain hose connects, gray water leaked all over the concrete floor in the garage. Shut it off, fixed the gasket, then got everything dumped with no further issues. I just missed having a mess of sewage on the floor-- glad I caught myself at the last second!
