When you gotta get a hammer out to change oil, something is wrong.
Got truck and ZT oil changed. Truck filter was a bear to get off, had to knock end filter wrench on tight, it kept slipping. Filter plyers don’t work, can’t get around it. Did it in driveway in front of barn. ZT is easy. Too wore out to do Honda transmission fluid like I want. Mazda needs oil change soon also.
And all 3 vehicles are due for registration renewal, that will be costly all at once.

Cake sounds good, but not a fan of Black Forest cake.

Projected Path
(The red-shaded area denotes the potential path of the center of the tropical cyclone. It's important to note that impacts (particularly heavy rain, high surf, coastal flooding, winds) with any tropical cyclone usually spread beyond its forecast path.)
Here's what impacts to expect in Hawaii: Heavy rain and strong winds will reach the Big Island on Saturday and then continue through Sunday, lingering into Monday. A flood watch is in effect for the Big Island.

The rain will be heaviest on windward and southeast-facing slopes and could amount to 5 to 10 inches, with maximum totals up to 20 inches on the higher peaks of the Big Island. Flooding is possible where rainfall becomes excessive.

Cancelled lunch, staying home to be safe

OK, another section of trimming done.... having a cold drink and break....
I just might be able to finish today, fingers crossed.

Bill, how much wood do you go through in a season? Do you just use the furnace for backup?
Last season we burned 3 bush cords of Maple, Oak and Beech and also 2000 Litres (529 US gallons) of furnace oil. The balance of the furnace oil that was in the tank carries over to this winter. I also run the Kioti off the furnace oil tank. It was a mild winter and I keep the house at 74°F.

Good Afternoon,
Well I didn’t make any big money today ! 😉 But I only lost $20 so it was a win for me ! My buddy Ron made over 500 bucks on the 8th race on an exacta !

As close as I live to Saratoga I avoid it during track season, used to try and go over once during the season, but haven't even done that the last several years
Lou, actually it wasn’t too bad today at the route 149 and route 9 junction !
I’m going to get over to your place one of these days !

Scott, have you used the z-turn yet?
Ted, I mowed the Ct lawn on Wednesday before we left and it ran really nice ! Knocked that lawn off really quick with that thing !

We are going up to the Lake House on Lake Bomoosen tonite ! Should be fun !

Have a pleasant Saturday evening! 🙏

Enjoyed LL World Series game today, but was rooting for TX, and they lost. Tomorrow is China vs Florida for the title.
Corn we got yesterday was good, along with stuffed peppers from our garden.

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.4C and it's presently 13.7C, clear & calm. There was 0.4mm in the gauge @ 0800... left over from yesterday morning's drizzle.

I'm off to Church in about a half hour. It'll be a long one, not because I'm leading the Morning Prayer service but because it will be followed by our parish's annual AGM. So it'll be a combined congregation from the 3 Churches we're responsible for. I've, once again, 'put my hand up' to be a "Warden", plus I'll volunteer for being a Synod representative.

Home after 1230 and then the rest of the day will be His.

That's about it, take care all.

David batten the hatches and prayers for y'all's safety.

60F partly cloudy sky.

Was busy day at work...whew,driving home vehicle front off me thre out 2 McDonalds bags and cups  I blew the horn they stop and I express my feelings also took picture of their plate, they said "we go back and clean it up please don't call the cops" I agree than check hour afterwards the litter was clean up....hmmm.

Mrs. made some bread and let me tell you it had extra hot taste  Mrs. even agree it had to go and broke the bread up threw it out on the lawn,Boo decided to give bread try he wasn't impress good thing bird bath was full of water. :)

Plans for the evening....little as possible.

Enjoy your evening all.
Wow, down here the gang bangers will shoot you if you honk at them.... Glad you got results.

Must've been some hot bread!

Good evening all. 78ºF for the start, overcast, breezy. Moderate wind, brisk gusts, variable cloudiness, and high temp was 97ºF, HI 104ºF. Made coffee to start day, bike ride, thought time was slow until looked at wind penalty, then not so bad. Got 100K route loaded in GPS, did get nap in, group dinner at Mexican restaurant.
Wow, people have died in that race. Glad you made it and got a nappy and Mexican food.

Kyle, need to know what parmesan truffle fries taste like.
before I order a Big Lebowski...
where afterwards with a gurgle I would yell for an AED...

google maps lets you walk around town in a way. Without a car, and I'm not taking that dinky ebike out on the road,
this is my way of exploring the local town. With Street View it's really like walking down the street.
Saturday morning breakfast in Giddings Texas.
get to see what the locals are like. And if they are farmers, all the better.
at the greasy spoon near my farm in NC, this photo was up on the wall and clearly had been there a while

some stuff you can do electronically, but I want to stand in front
of Mt Rushmore and just look at the place and take it all in.
Feel the connection to our country.
Never had the truffle fries. But Rebas is one of the places I've thought of to take you to. They have really good pizza, but not deep dish. Also salads and subs.
Hope your tooth problem gets fixed. A painful tooth is horrible. Make sure you tell your dentist if you are taking penicillin.

After so many years not seeing a dentist I sit here like a death row inmate about to meet his fate.
Should be just a simple dental procedure but after more than a decade without I'm fixating on previous work and pain.
Maybe I'll get a lolli-pop if I'm a good little boy?
Really nice day out there. Going to reach 80F blue skies and sunshine.
Taking my everyday vehicle in for service and a tire leak first thing and dentist this aft.
I'll see how things go after dental visit to plan rest of day.
Good run up to the weekend people.
Glad tooth is fixed!

spent morning trying to figure out son's ER visit bills. What a rip off. Apparently ER doctor and the CT scanning (radiology) people are all 3rd party, and they bill in addition to the hospital, but seem to include same items as each other. Dr was there about 5 minutes to put in stitches, billed over $3200. I'm expecting separate bills from each nurse, and the lady at the front desk any day now....... Wonder if the custodian bills separate also, you know to clean the place.... Anyways, the DR who billed separate, did not go thru insurance. They took the money that my auto insurance paid and they said they "retired the bill". This means they probably got more than they should have. Trying to decide to leave well enough alone, or have them go thru insurance.
Still trying to decide if hospital bill for CT scans is same as the radiology bill for CT scans. seems they both want to bill for the same thing also. United health seems to think they are separate, but why?

Going into town with my wife, then make a run to an orchard in PA.
I feel your frustration.
Usually the doctors bill some crazy amount and the insurance knocks it back down into orbit.

nice to see that home heating oil has dropped 20 percent this year, down to 3.19 from 4 bucks a gallon.
doing a prebuy for 300 gallons, had a credit from last year.
Still high IMO.

Spent the day taking off my 5 foot shredder's blades, building them up with the mig welder and grinding them sharp again. So HOT I had to just work in increments. Took most of day. bending over to weld and grind was tough on the knees. I take the grinding outside. Don't like grinding dust all over everything. Worn out. Just to save $150. Cuts like a dream now. Even at low rpm, it cuts a clean cut.

Son's football scrimmage was good on Friday. His team did fairly well. But just a scrimmage. No score.

Safety training class went well. Brought home about 3 or 4 leftover pizzas. 2 were veggie sampler, because we have some who don't eat meat. The meat lovers pizzas all got eaten up first.

Not as hot, but hot! We actually got a rain shower Friday night.

Playing music with grandson! Cool.

Rip, hope the issues get fixed soon.

Church comes early.

Prayers.
