I am not sure how to find details on this tractor, wherever I search, the serial number doesn't match what I'm finding. The S/N tag I found is inside the cab. I'm trying to date it for starters, & get any more info I can.

I also learned that when my husband got it, the transmission was FUBAR so he put two tractors together to make it work so I am not sure if the photos are all true to the original front end / interior.

The tags that I see are for the cab, a couple for the RoosaMaster injection pump, but I'm not seeing the one that is on the rear by the PTO as indicated location on the Tractor Data .com site.
Let us know if there is a tag on that rear by the PTO. Might be a victim of the change to the transmission which is ahead of the rear end differential and axle. Circled in white is where the s/n tag may be hidden by oil and dust.

A Deere 4020 is a very ubiquitous tractor.

200 thousand built. Good stuff!

Your tractor was manufactured '64-'68. As beenthere stated serial # of rear of trans case will narrow down the yr model.
