Good morning!!!!

good morning, 66 going to 80

More grass mowing today when dry enough. Growing fast after the rains. Diesel powered with more than 30 hp, the ZT cuts the tall grass without slowing down much. Put new set of blades on and serviced it yesterday.
It did not start apparently due to one of the safety switches being wet after the pressure washing so shorted the starter across the starter terminal and the solenoid terminal with a screw driver and it started immediately. Then used the Milwaukee blower to dry it out and working normally now

Morning all, 73 going up to 82 and partly cloudy.
Mowed a few of the side lawns after playing pickup sticks form last storm.
Worked on pool, so many leaves.....

Son is off to friends in Maine, he just landed. He also landed another job as a busboy.
The restaurant is one reopening in a month, my wife worked for the old owners when she was a teenager! She can't wait to see the redone place.

L4N - mobility is back, have fun on the trike. Sorry about the cat ....

Tarps and mowers, isn't that how you prep a tarp for the bin

Onward to LA - UCLA and UC Irvine:
FIL went to UCLA , some of the older main buildings were just restored or in the middle of being Earthquake proofed

Then on to Disney, my wife reliving trips with her parents. Very crowded, overpriced and they redid the haunted house, my wifes favorite for the "season" , she was not happy, but supposedly it will go back to normal next year. And we visited the Star wars area, this was one of my now deceased High School buddies engineering work. He was really proud of this place.

Then onto San Diego and my family after visiting with Holly's Cousins in Oceanside (Marina).
We went to a Tiki convention in a hotel near ours, Wife is very into the Tiki stuff (see Trader Vics)

By this time we were exhausted and the visit with my Uncle and Father took the rest of my energy.
Father still in rehab and making almost no progress.
We did visit about 9 colleges and my son now wants to now go to NYU, better to find out now than later...
Let' see what can i sell to afford his college......

As much as we love our pets/children, we all know that we will out live them. I would rather my animals die at home than at the paws of a predator.
If mine die in the wintertime then I have an apartment sized freezer that is used ONLY for dead pets.
Scamp is buried. Lowered the box into a 6' deep hole and filled it in.
We figured it out, she had salmon cat food [the ten o'clock feeding] (which she loves), did her business and then went to sleep... permanently.
I was going to go to the dump today, but it feels like rain out there and T-storms are forecast for this afternoon.
I kinda wish the trike was rear drive instead of front drive. Then when I horse on the throttle it wouldn't pull to the left. It is what it is, I will teach my thumb not to go WOT off the line.
This thing has a tail light AND stop light, too. A little creative wiring and there could be led lights all over it. Made a cane holder for it yesterday...two zip ties, one on the handlebar stem and one on the angled tubing supporting the rear swing arm. The front basket is mounted to the frame, so it does NOT turn with the handlebars. It is a small basket about big enough for a six pack [5 miler] or two.
When I was a lot younger and drank way more than my share of beer we called a 6 pack a 5 miler, because you could almost quaff one back in 5 miles. ;)
Ken, thanks for this poor mans visit to Disney, can I now say I've been to both? I was at Disney World in 1973.
It is nice to see some real cars. Cars that you could tell what make they were without reading the badge.

Back down the youtube rabbit hole until Tuesday, when I might go to the dump [closed Mondays].

Your comments about 5 miler makes me think about a rotational assignment in the Startup Group with Marvin on the first day on the job picking me up. I was still eating breakfast and asked him he wanted some? He said I have it with me and it was a six pack of beer. On the way to the job a short drive ( not even 5 miles ) he drank all six without even taking them out of the pack. I was totally amazed.
After this assignment he went to another assignment on Bougainville Island and died in an accident up the mountain side. Not sure of the details of how this happened but I had this picture in my mind of him drinking the six pack and driving off the cliff

69°F and .41 inches rain.

Great day mowing yesterday. Both pasture ends of property done. Now the middle “lawn” areas. Sophie’s little BX does such a great job.

Ridgeline battery measures 12.48, so not the issue. Had on charger all day as well. Tried jumping with my jump pack and no go. A problem with the Key fob and start button I guess. Brand new battery in fob. I seem to recall something similar a few years ago, I think either the Pilot, but so far can’t find the instructions to reset. Something to do with brake pedal as I recall.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
