Way back when I was a lot younger I got sun stroke twice about three years apart. 5 years ago I had heat stroke, luckily there was a pickup right there with the a/c running and he took me to my Freightliner which was also running with the a/c running and a case of water handy. Now last May I had a real stroke, so now I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.7C and it's presently 18.7C! Fairly clear with a gentle breeze. Very 'warm' Winter temperatures.

Last evening's 'drinks' was a lovely social event but, crickey, has the prices ever gone up (due to the Fed Gov). One large glass of wine cost the same as an entire bottle that the Wine Faeries send me. Yes, I know that a restaurant/bar needs to make a profit + pay staff but my costs are getting prohibitive. <sigh> I came home to have supper @ about 1900.

That's about it, take care all.

It has always been cheaper to get it at the store than at the bar/restaurant.

Good evening all. 70ºF for the start near Protem, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light wind, clouds built up then became partly cloudy, and high temp 86ºF, HI 92ºF at home. Dog care to start day, packed up and left after my breakfast about 9AM. Easy trip back home, unpacked and had light snack for dinner. BIL didn't get surgery, his surgeon out of hours and he is trying to get others to give up hours but the won't or getting last minute surgeries. Saw BIL/SIL loading on ferry as I drove away from it . She said this evening the dogs miss me

What are the labor rates?

The Aussie minimum wage is A$24.10 per hour... Which is also why 'tipping' is a rare occurrence here, unless it's truly warranted for exceptional service.

Anyway, the increase, which happens twice a year, applies to all alcohol, tobacco and petrol. No matter who is 'in power', federally, it creeps up and has been doing so for as long as I can remember.

It's got to the point where it's got to be either curbed or rolled back. Yeah, I know, 'good luck with that'.

Drinking warm cup of coffee. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with mostly cloudy skies a good westerly winds. Yesterday was last PT visit. Foot is much better. Helped friend with his giving motorhome a good wash job Then took pictures. Mowed grass. Still have backyard and some trimming to do today.
