Sitting at home on porch listening to rain .75 in so far getting heavier
Still hanging at .44" here, not much of anything since early morning. Looks like heaviest will be East WV, western MD, Mid to west PA..
Will be heading down that way next week, so hope i can still tell how water flowed.

Still waiting to hear about water softener, supposed to pick it up today at Lowes...

Good morning all. All dogs in and sleeping, here is my chance :) 65ºF for the start mostly clear, light breeze. Forecast for 86ºF, HI 90ºF. Today "off" 2 dogs went on a walkabout, ate something they shouldn't, and had trouble settling down last night. Yesterday they were much more active because of cooler weather. I expect to go home tomorrow morning, BIL has surgery scheduling issues and I will need to go back. Might to get to post tomorrow night, otherwise will restart on Saturday night.
NHBX nice rain. How much did Manchvegas get?
Randy(wag) hope you got church electrical work take care of.
Bill why limit retiring to 65 and up?

Kyle hope day went well for you and son.

Drew hope niece is okay.
Bill sorry e-bike so slow to get to you. Hope you can get perks because of delay.

Bill if your e-bike uses standard bike seat post you can get a spring seat post.
Scott(vt) hope mowing went well.
Plowhog your video of Big Boy much better than mine. Few of us realize what it take to move freight across the mountains. Pics were good as well :)

Good morning! Low of 60°, heading up to 88°. Now only a 60% chance of showers. Then only a 40% chance tomorrow. At this point, any chance is good

David, good to hear that Sophie's surgery went well. Hoping for very quick recovery and no more repeats.

Scott, hang on to the WH! Nothing out there to equal. I regret not 'repowering' my old '74 WH. Only tractors that come close are the SCUTS, at high cost.....
I see you are following instructions carefully... slow and "take your time" --- chuckled at that.

Plow, hope that Rigby can overcome his fear. Positive reinforcement goes far with helping overcome their fears. Hope he finds a friend!

Ken, thanks for posting the pics! Beautiful!

Hope you guys on the E coast get some needed rain.... but not TOO much. Really slow moving.

Need to make a Costco run and a stop at Lowes. One item at Lowes --- a dawn to dusk photo eye. The one we have decided to switch on / off during the day about every 5 minutes....weird. I even repositioned it thinking some shadow or something. Nope, still does it.

Hope everyone has a great day!
Sounds like the photo eye has crapped out.

Got a call from the people that sold me the trike...It should be here tomorrow. I could have bought one from the warehouse, but then I would have to assemble it. This way buying off the showroom floor it is already assembled, safetied and the battery charged up. Delivery cost from Sudbury, ON to here is $400.oo. That is thanks to Justins' inflation on gas.

85F and mostly cloudy @ 13:15, heading up to around 85F for the day's high. DP 71F, HU 67%, "feels like" temp = 90F.

58% chance of scattered thunderstorms today.

Change of plans yesterday: running around put off until today.

Instead, I emptied the 2 bags of mulch that were in the dump cart so The Woman could load it up with weeds She had pulled in the flower bed.

While waiting for Her to finish that I took down another 6 deck joists.

Once She had the loading done I hauled the weeds up to the compost pile and dumped them.

After that I loaded up the deck joists and hauled those around front.

Then cleaned out the screened compost that was stuck to the loader bucket and brought 2 bucketloads of wood chips down to the planting bed east of the garden.

Woman announced She was making BLT's for dinner (plus fresh sweet corn) and requested that I go pick some tomatoes so I grabbed a bucket and filled it up and came on inside.

As it was Wednesday, I didn't bother going back outside ... just watched the nature shows on PBS after the news.

Woman had to go over and feed neighbor's dogs. But before She did that She ran down to the local creamery and picked up dessert. She got Butter Pecan ice cream and I went with a Hot Fudge Peanut Butter milkshake ...

Not sure what all on agenda for today.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

At 80 we have to do a medical + written test + road test in the vehicle you normally drive. And only good for one year. For me that is manual transmission and 'B' trains. NO thanks.

Bill sorry e-bike so slow to get to you. Hope you can get perks because of delay.
No perks from them, as soon as I mentioned perks they ghosted me. I cancelled the order.
Bill if your e-bike uses standard bike seat post you can get a spring seat post.
I will be checking that out tomorrow. Pictures to follow.

Good Afternoon,
Bill, super looking e-trike, that should be the ticket ! Put a freezer on the back and you could be the neighborhood Good Humor Man!:)

Lou, Frits and Dennis, thanks for your backhoe info and comments. I would love to have one but at this point, it probably wont happen !

My wheel horse is 35 YO, and not running. I had a guy rebuild the engine yrs ago, got it home, and it never ran again. wouldn't start. 10 yrs ago I pulled the engine to have it looked at, and it still sits in the barn like that. I bought husqvarna and then the ZT.
Gee Dennis, I cant believe that the guy rebuilt it and didnt to a test run in front you after rebuild !
Scott, hang on to the WH! Nothing out there to equal. I regret not 'repowering' my old '74 WH. Only tractors that come close are the SCUTS, at high cost.....

Ted mine is burning a little oil now so I am guessing some cylinder wear amongst other things. I love that little tractor and dont want to give it up ! Just too lazy to do a full rebuild right now !

Have a great afternoon !

Scotty, my neighbours are all into beer but I am into hard licker. We aren't really compatible. I am not supposed to drink anyway. The powers that be say I am diabetic. Only on the pill right now, I don't want to make it worse like a guy I know did. He figured because he was on the pill that he could eat/drink whatever he wanted and did. Now he is on the needle.

Tractor still not fixed. Talked with Tech and apparently they want to set up some sort of test where the higher level can observe live. Not sure how that works but they are working on it.

Booked our trip for next year, March. Will see what flight arrangements tour company comes up with and still have the option to do our own.

We start in London, end Dublin.
