Good Morning,

GM Paul, definitely thinking ahead there !

Kind of curious if you have any excavator experience or running a backhoe ? I know I don’t and have often wondered how many hours behind the controls to become efficient ?

Good luck with the trenching !
One thing to be aware of is that backhoes and excavators often have different control schemes;
often referred to SAE or ISO

I had a John Deere backhoe model 8 that I adapted to the MF industrial tractor (still have it) that served me well for many years. It was originally for a skid steer mount but converted it to tree point mount with reinforcement rods to take the stress off the tree point.
It was quick because of the high hydraulic flow from the tractor so had to operate in lower RPMs to make it easier to control. It was operated with 4 levers as you can see on the picture but easy enough after getting the hang of it.
It was fairly powerful to the point I broke the arm and had to weld it back up with reinforcement. Picture is for a model 8B mine was a model 8A

Good morning! Low of 60°, heading up to 88°. Now only a 60% chance of showers. Then only a 40% chance tomorrow. At this point, any chance is good

David, good to hear that Sophie's surgery went well. Hoping for very quick recovery and no more repeats.

Scott, hang on to the WH! Nothing out there to equal. I regret not 'repowering' my old '74 WH. Only tractors that come close are the SCUTS, at high cost.....
I see you are following instructions carefully... slow and "take your time" --- chuckled at that.

Plow, hope that Rigby can overcome his fear. Positive reinforcement goes far with helping overcome their fears. Hope he finds a friend!

Ken, thanks for posting the pics! Beautiful!

Hope you guys on the E coast get some needed rain.... but not TOO much. Really slow moving.

Need to make a Costco run and a stop at Lowes. One item at Lowes --- a dawn to dusk photo eye. The one we have decided to switch on / off during the day about every 5 minutes....weird. I even repositioned it thinking some shadow or something. Nope, still does it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Buppies, hope you are home, this storm is coming right at you
And then on to Maryland

did some food shopping, decided on making curried chicken for my friends Sat night.
with bits of my own red sweet peppers chopped up and lots of peas and mushrooms.
Not sure about tomatoes.
And sour cream.
Over multicolored couscous.
I may need their help, they are the chefs, not me.

they measure, I chuck the whole bag in. With varying results.
was a big bag of frozen peas, maybe half will do...
two different kinds of mild curry sauces.

tomorrow morning I go buy dessert at the other supermarket in town.

was really hoping I could sneak out and mow the lawn but more rain is coming in an hour
and pretty wet out there. Not worth gumming up the mower deck.

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 7:30AM. Foggy early, becoming sunny this afternoon. High near 75F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

After several phone calls to correct errors on the insurance papers, the insurance policy was paid for and goes into effect on the eleventh.

Staying on the roll, I found a Principal Care Physician that was accepting new patients (very few are) and booked the earliest appointment he had, on October 11. That took five phone calls because his office answering machine was not taking messages. When I finally got someone on the phone they seemed to think that was normal and acceptable for a doctor's office. I'm going to keep looking, but at least I have a backup plan if I'm unsuccessful. The neighbor across the street passed along halfhearted recommendations for a dentist and PCP. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

I was wondering about contacting Bird since I'm going right past Denton after I see Mostly.
Don't know how his health is, might be a good idea, might not.

ordered a new set of reading glasses, this time with a solid durable frame. No more fishing line.

back to my house cleaning,

If the (b) pictures get your head spinning, then just learn the hard way. Just not near anything fragile like a house wall. ;)
I can run mine, but that picture still makes my head spin. Best is to get on and do it, looking at pictures will just mess you up.

68°F and .08 inches rain here in rural Hawaii.

Another unusual day here. A bit of time to piddle about this morning and then off to town for Sophie’s pressure check. Also need to visit brewery for a refill and a quick store run. Oh and into HD.

H&F at friends later, possibly a bit later than normal.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
