Even if your vehicle combination doesn't fit between the curbs?Rotaries are great...
They are lying when they say you never have to stop at rotaries (in the video). Most of the rotaries around here are one lane and if there is a car (or a whole bunch of cars) in the rotary, you have to stop and wait for them to clear, just like an intersection (unless you want to take a chance on getting hit).
I am happy for the people that like them, because they probably aren't going to stop building them anytime soon....

Haven't seen one like that yet.The tight ones are left flat in the middle on purpose to allow semi trailers to use them easily although I’ve never seen anything needing to do that around here.
Agree that some of the newer ones are a bit on the small side, mostly in residential areas where large vehicles or trailers other than utility trailers aren't commonly driven. As kozal01 noted, most of these have a flat inner ring to (mostly) accommodate that.Even if your vehicle combination doesn't fit between the curbs?
So, today I ended up in a busy rotary with another pickup towing a 24’ish ft boat on a tandem axle trailer. He took up two lanes going around, and everyone just kinda naturally slid aside to make room for him. Really wasn’t as big an issue as one might imagine.Yesterday, I passed going the opposite direction of a 3500 long bed crew cab pulling a 30+ foot triple axle boat trailer, on a road that has a circle every 2-3 miles. Wished I had seen him do the rotary, but since these are all 2-3 lanes, I’m guessing he just hogged two lanes in going around.
That's an interesting looking rig. I would guess the front trailer is some kind of workshop, and the rear trailer has material needed for the next job. Never saw a short stepdeck trailer like that with a beaver tail.Yeah, with two lanes available and a 24-something foot trailer, even Ray Charles could probably pull it off.
It's the small single lane roundabouts that can be an issue with longer vehicle combinations. And doubles are much better than a single long trailer in those situations.View attachment 877931
I feel the same way. The time was when radio broadcasts of sports were relegated to AM stations but that's changed; nearly every night the local FM station has a Red Sox game on. Not only do I not care about sports; I especially don't care to listen to a game when it's almost a given they are going to lose, as was the case last year. During football season several of the stations I prefer are covering that... I'd rather listen to a golf game or ping pong tournament.By the way, in case you haven't already guessed it, I could not care less about sports
Thanks for a good laugh.I'd rather listen to a golf game or ping pong tournament.
Have reported many that just keep coming. Some from companies I don't want to block in case they have something legitimate to communicate or I want to buy from them again where having their email blocked would block sales receipts and tracking info. Not the solution, they just need to honor the unsubscribe option.Block or report as spam.
What's worse are the pre-and post-game shows. Dunno about other teams, but the New England Patriots network has a 3 hour pregame show, and a 3 hour postgame show, either one of which is longer than the actual game!I feel the same way.
