Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.1C and it's presently 12.2C with thin cloud. Calm at the moment; higher wind predicted.

I'm in the process of ordering a brass 'door push plate' for my main french door. Over time I've worn a patch on the frame when bringing loads of wood into the house. I'm going for a quality, forged, brass plate with a complimenting edge design. 75x300mm. I'll need to re-stain the marked frame, of course, soon.

It's 'into town' day for mail and groceries with a Veteran's Coffee gathering to start.

That's about it, take care all... especially Mostly as we haven't heard back from him after his torrential rain!

Stress cause the ralph episode.

I found a way for me to get to town AND get fuel for the mower without a license. E-trike. $1900.oo + tax + $30.oo motorcycle helmet = $2200.oo and I gotta assemble it myself. (Which means that Junior will assemble it).
That also means I can go to the dump.

Small trailer option?

Newbury how many have you found
Just that one.

Great! E-trike might even go through some snow.
I'm trying to figure out how to build one and run it on DeWalt 20V or Flexvolt batteries. I've about five 5AH 20V batteries and 4 12AH Flexvolt, plus lot's of smaller ones.

Drew will be singing, “I don’t want a pickle, I just want to ride on my motor sickle (cycle)”. - Arlo Guthrie
one of my favorite tunes my brother used to play on his guitar....he did a great Alice's Restaurant too.

Frits, glad wife has no worse bone density.

As usual Popgadget, looks 1st class.

Phil, nice time piece gift!

CNC Programmed and ran a 3/8 NPT female thread to change a BSPP 1/4 fitting to American NPT. Turned out great.

Ron, that was a huge stump to attempt. Hope your backhoe survived.

Great pics! Flower power and mushrooms and big cats.....go ask Alice, when she's 10 foot tall.

Plowhog, just like with the bears, I would have a problem with a mountain lion hanging around my place, for worthy fear for my family and pets...

L4N, there are at least 3 different people who use riding mowers pulling trailers to get around town. When my license gets yanked, I'm putting the Steiner Beast in high mode, it is pretty fast in high mode. Guessing at least 10 mph maybe more.

RNG, scotch brite scrubbing toilets doesn't sound like a great job, but someone has to do it. Just wonder if you scrub off the porcelain's shine, if whatever grows back faster now that it has a way to attach? I know, it won't be your problem.... Bet that job had you wanting a Shiner Bock afterwards.

3 things I don't like about cats (even though I have one). Cat crap, cat pee and cat puke, in no particular order. Whichever one I have to clean up is the one I hate most at that time. My cat is a barn cat. I have a small pet door on the man door for her to come and go. She still loves plain old Friskys dry cat food. She goes from a summer hair coat to a winter hair coat. I would guess 2 lbs of hair and fat in winter? Oh, and I don't like it when she kills song birds....she gets yelled at and scrams when she comes to the front yard....she knows the back and sides are her turf.

Prayers for our team, our nation, ****** and Ukraine...and for that Putin guy to come to his senses.

I have been studying the Fractur alphabet that was used in Germany. Wife learned to read and write it in school. it was used in old German and is quite a pretty handwriting. here is a small sample. It may still be used in Penn-German areas here in US

Thanks to popgadget for steering me in the right direct in finding the geothermal problem. Now have to decide on a course of action. Might replace entire system with high efficiency heat pump since unit is undersized. Will depend on costs. This will put porch ceiling and deck projects on hold.
Been running this system 12 yrs, would like to have gone longer.

The small tube with tiny hole broke from the bottom of TXV valve in middle. The purple wire goes to thermistor above, lowtemp caused by this broken valve is causing the compressor to kick off.

Got the pieces/parts sanded and stained. Shelf unit prepped. Then, only had one small hinge.... what happened to the other three and all the screws?
Looked everywhere without luck finding them.

So, being we needed a couple items at Wally World, I figured I would just get a pack. Nope... all too big! None over in crafts either. Oh well....

Tomorrow, I'll go to the next own over to Ace Hardware. I know they have what I need. No biggie, the wax will have a chance to harden overnight, and the smell will be gone by then.

Drew, yes, we have a triple 'jack knife' sofa (I forgot what they were called). Wifey hates it. We haven't really discussed what to replace it with, but it will happen.

Good evening all. 69ºF for the start, mostly clear, very light breeze. Light wind, afternoon clouds with nearby rain, and high temp was 87ºF, HI 91ºF. Made coffee to start, Grief Share, Bike ride 0 wind penalty, Trip to town for lunch, new bulb base for outdoor light (not at my HD) and groceries. Nap, dinner with stepdaughter and her husband.
Randy(wag) not a flood, just a typo :( 3.8 inches is what I meant.
Bill glad you got your E.I. payments straightened out I would think you would be covered at least as long as it would take to get license back. Good chance there will be upheavals in US stock market until dust settles from election. Not on roof and all low water crossings roads are dry. 43.8 is typo, should read 3.8 inches.
Ron hope rain didn't ruin wash job on Mule and car. Hope trimmings clean up went well. Neat mushroom. Thank for clarification of bird.
Ron is much like looking for glasses while wearing them :) that has happened to me more than I care to admit to. Glad BP back to normal!
Drew glad you got some rain. Hope crown went on with no problems.
NHBX hope you got some rain. Sorry about sore shoulder/
Billy sorry no one else hiking. Nice color on flower.
Thomas hope day went well.
Buppies hope you get more rain. Sorry about humidity. prayers sent.
Frits glad your wife's bone are not deteriorating. Shrimps look good.
Drew glad you didn't eat them. Hope watering and push mowing went well.
Dennis the correct amount was 3.8. It was a 24 hour total, very localized.
Plowhog cool pic of cougar.
Paul we us English here in Texas, was just a Texas sized typo. Should have 3.8 inches.
Don nice you are getting a decent amount of rain out of this system. Sorry about deer damage.
Scott(vt) glad you slept through storm. Hope the sun came out and you could run grandkids through pool.
Paul glad copper work done in boiler room. Sorry about the lack of maneuvering room. Sounds like electrical work coming along nicely. Thanks for progress pics.
Drew glad you got refund on pickles. Nice to hear crown installed with no issues. Can you reposition table so it can't go flying if in accident? Thanks for pic
Ted sorry only slight chance for rain. Hope you make progress on the enclosure. Looking forward to the pics :)
Drew would it be possible to get the mounting plate and put a aftermarket seat on it?
Bill sorry motivation so elusive.
David your pool may not like 3.8 inches of rain. Glad HH and shrimp both were hits. Hope you accomplished your agenda.
RS hope you can get the bucket/grapple mods finished so you can get back to your garden work. Glad mowing caught up and weed spraying is well along. Nice work trapping groundhog with unbaited trap.
Drew hope weather cooperates and trip goes well. Nice flower pics.
Frits glad you caught on to the scam and sent then away.
Dennis glad you are making progress on a/C unit. Sorry about Tiger throw up on way home. Hope class goes well.
Bill glad you have a way to get to town when bough and assembled.
Phil WOW nice work!
Randy(wag) the brass plate should look nice and hold up better. Hope town run was good. I usually only post once a day :)
Kyle sorry you don't like cats.
Frits not familiar with Fractur alphabet, pretty hand writing.
Dennis sorry tube failed causing valve to malfunction.
Ted sorry parts not found. You find them after replacements purchased :(.

Coffee is brewing. 65° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with partly cloudy skies. .69 rain overnight. PT was a little tough yesterday. Took most of the day off with rest on back porch. Storm hit last night that shut power off. I missed storm and power outage while asleep. Generator ran as it should. Probably have some cleanup to do today along with shrubs from yesterday.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 59 and going to a high of 70°F. Wind NE 11 gusting to 17 mph. Showers at times heavy. Local amounts up to 1".

Going to the vampire this morning, in preparation for the quack appointment on the first of August. Will see if I can get another appointment near the end of August for the unemployment medical form.

I guess after the vampire will be a conserve energy day.

BEF, why can't you just replace the faulty valve and repair the pin hole?
I don't care whether one is independently loaded or broke, it seems like a lot of money to replace a whole system over one broken part. Would you replace your car/truck because you needed new plug wires?

There is only one good hill to get any speed up on and it is a sharp little hill and right after it you need to climb again on the way to the dump. Junior forgot how steep that up hill is and found out the hard way. After I get the e-trike I can do the dump run.

That is about it for today.

Have a safe day all

Good morning all,
65° now highs in the mid 70’s and cloudy with scattered showers today. Winds ESE 5-10 mph. Dew points in mid 60’s all day.

We did manage 0.3” rain yesterday and overnight. 👍

Spent a little time in the shop putting away tools and general clean up. Nothing really planned for today, trip to the dump if I get ambitious. The rest of the day just take it easy.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy
