Been raining off and on past several days. Finished wet sandblasting this morning and then primer coat put on. After sandblasting I used my leaf blower to dry and no rust. To keep my sand dry I drilled a 7/16 hole in the 5-gallon lid and ran the sand feed tube thru it.
I used a total of 12 bags of play sand @ 5.00 a bag, 2 cans of rust o Leum primer @ 7.00 a can and 15.00 for a quart of Kubota orange paint that I will use my airless sprayer to paint.
Primer needs to cure 24 hours before painting.
I have maybe 1 and 1/2 hours in wet sandblasting, 5 minutes in drying, 10 minutes in primer. Paint wont be here till the 17th. I moved the location of the brush hog as it needed to be laying down at a slope and very little wet sand got on me. I will post completed job.
Wet sandblasting is the way to go.
