Coffee is brewing. 67° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 88° with mostly cloudy skies. Managed to get grass mowed in between rain and thunderstorms. Not much else got done. Way to hot and humid for me. Stayed in much cooler house. Will try to get some garden pond maintainace in today.
June full moon is the Strawberry Moon.

Good morning all,
64° now highs only in the upper 60’s and a chance of showers throughout the afternoon and evening.

Never made it for lunch yesterday, Mrs had some appointments late morning and didn’t feel like it. Just puttered around and conserved energy most of the day.

Today need to do some trimming and weeding and maybe another dump run in.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Mostly, only two joints on a B train. 5th wheel on tractor and another one at the rear of the 1st trailer (Commonly called the 'lead'), It is mounted just about the center of the last axle on the lead.
keep them both well greased and you can put them almost anywhere, backwards. Just like pushing a chain is how one guy described backing up trains. They are easy, once you get used to them.
They were full air ride, air disks on all 5 axles and a stability control system called 'anti-rollover'. It works good when you are running with a part load. 50% or less.
Bill, I watched a fascinating YT on Australian road trains with four trailers. The first trailer was always about a third shorter than the last three.
I'm guessing that makes whole rig turn better/tighter?

I don't know. The only trains I've hauled in 50 years of trucking have all been long lead and shorter pup. I've seen guys from Winnipeg with the short lead and longer pup. But one would think that the tail would be wagging the dog. We in Ontario never want the pup heavier than the pup. The extra weight on the pup gives you the sensation of being pushed all over the road. NOT fun.

good morning all
74 going to 94 today and a/c is already working.

no plans for today other than a family picnic at 4pm nearby, my "step" family of
father's second wife. One will be in from Hawaii, always good to see her. My stepbrother in Colorado,
the one I'm stopping at on my rv trip, was also coming but got to St Louis in his rv and turned around.
So many things had broken down on it that I think his wife said take me home with their two dogs.

remarkably it was an Airstream, the most reliable/best made rv camping trailer out there, and he is/was a retired
master machinist whose handle was Bugattidoc. The guy can build million dollar engines from scratch, and he gave up on his rv.
He listed all the things that were breaking, two bad tires, rv water pump, etc etc. All fixable stuff. So I'm not sure of the whole story here.
He said he drove 2300 miles for nothing. Maybe I'll hear the rest of the story this afternoon from a sibling.
not a good omen for me....he has more mechanical ability in his pinkie than I have.

I've learned from boating on an older boat you have to go through every system and check, and focus on the trip killers.
now I wonder if my five year old truck with 41k miles should have its wheel bearings repacked. ?? probably not

Buppies, so sorry you had a bad day. You have enough on your hands already. Stay strong. Feel better and watch your meds.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. We all need to drink a lot of water.

Good Morning
72° on its way to 93 today.
Roofers were a no show yesterday, supposed to come this morning.
I did get the garage ready for the framers, trimmed a pine tree back that was over the roof, Makita pole saw worked great.
Kept the new concrete watered, continued to clean up in the shop.
Made some tweaks to the geothermal heat pump in the house to use less water by increasing the Delta T of the water passing through it to 15°. (It’s an open loop system that returns the water into a second well). It was previously at 10°, the new setting reduced the flow by 50%.

Good morning, the low is 59 and going to 70°F. Wind NE 5 mph. 40% chance of showers. Raining now.
The pussycats wont like it. They don't like get
feet wet.
My SMV sign installation job is on 'hold' until Monday. Forecast rain all today and tomorrow, but only 40% chance. Nothing like covering your basses.

Back down the you tube rabbit hole.

Have a safe day all

102 heat index this afternoon when my family outdoors party supposed to start.
They have big trees and shade but i don't think I'll last long.
guess I'd better wear something that won't look bad all sweaty...my Hawaiian print shirt might work.
emailed the host and offered to bring a cooler with ice and a box fan.
We are all in our mid to late 70's and one family survivor on their side aged 100 and something is coming.

if i were doing this I'd rent a big swamp cooler and put it on the big patio deck but otherwise you have to stay in shade
thunderstorms possible at 6pm, weather could be nasty.

I think I'll be sneaking out early on this one...
I gave a very nice gift to the gay son who just got married, from my whole family,
and a nice 80'th year tshirt
for the host. Always have to park so you don't get blocked in, so one can slip out.
I really just want to see the daughter from Hawaii.
She is a very large woman.
A very large woman in 98 degree heat should be a sweaty hug.
hold that thought.... ;)

Drew, I think that at 41,000 miles your wheel bearings are due for a repack. 5 years is asking a lot for grease. That is IF they are serviceable. The bearings on my Jeep were not. I am not so sure on my Dodge either. The information should be in your owners manual as to when the manufacturer wants them done along with the rest of the service information. Seized wheel bearing are NOT fun, you go in the direction of the side that seizes. Ask me how I know.

Tired this morning but still here found a lot out about my health in some cases not as bad as I thought but these episodes are hard on my kidneys. Drink only water but gave some of it away as my guys were really thirsty.

Prayers for all our Country

Good Morning,
Ct, 68 to start going to 88 or so with humidity that you could cut with a knife ! 😒

The second FD concert from 6 to 8 pm.
Hopefully the thunderstorm comes earlier or later !

Wondering what you guys are doing for your TV ? We have had DISH for the last few years in both Ct and Vt. Last month our oldest son bought us an Apple TV box so we could stream since we have fiber optic. The DISH was costing us $98 plus per month and the same in Vt ! We now only pay $80 plus and have aHulu and Prime and Disney. We are planning to do the same in Vt, and my son said we can use our VPN and watch everything in Vt that we watch in Ct. so going from
almost $200 per month down to $80 plus ! Only problem is we won’t get Bermont news and weather that way ! No big deal IMO !

Hope all have a great day ! 🙏

June full moon is the Strawberry Moon.
Thanks Ron. Saw the big moon just above the ridge when I let Rigby out. Big, bright, beautiful way to start the morning.

Buppies-- glad some of your news was a bit more positive than you thought!!

Going to 92F today. Gotta get chores done before it gets too hot.

We've had Rigby a week and he is visibly larger than when we picked him up. It is amazing how fast they grow at this age.

good luck with weather and concert Scott.
Mother Nature rules outdoors.

my offer of an extra ice chest was accepted so need to plan on running downtown and then actually coming back to
step brother's farm here outside of New Hope. Long winding driveway through the woods, totally deer fenced property with a
push button gate, old stone house and barns way back off the road. Lovely spot. He never bought a tractor. I've been telling him
he is really missing out.

what a beautiful dog Plowhog

72 outside right now, heading to 100. Dangerous heat for sure.

Spent most of the day yesterday with the weed whacker. More this AM. Wife dragged me out shopping. A horrible experience. I am a grab and go person. My wife shops, even for food. Examines, compares, reads stuff....who does that? LOL. I did get a new jug of water for the water dispenser. Yeah...going through that like crazy.

I'll have to finish up this AM on the chores and outside work. Just came in for - more water. Buppies....YOU have to force yourself to drink. I drink so much during these heat waves I still have to use the facilities even though I am drenched in sweat. I also do hydrate drinks, and then to mess the system up...beer! Kidding aside, drink a lot of water.

Lots of activities in the area of interest this weekend. WWII birds at the local airport, bee festival in town. Love to go see them, but the wife cannot handle the heat....maybe pool time instead.

Hope all have a good day. Be safe. Enjoy the weekend.

Scott, we use YouTube TV. Carries local stations. Carries sports channels of interest to us. Been flawless for over 5 years? now... got rid of DirecTV. Streaming apps beats satellite content carriers hands down. More choices too in steaming apps.

   / Good morning!!!! #192,240
good morning, 77 going to 96 hot today but we are usually a few degrees less that the surrounding area because of higher elevation close to the Appalachian Trail

Slept in longer than normally sure feels good, wife is still sleeping

Hope to hear from D later today

Will do some outside chores early and likely do some excavator work that I had saved up for a hot day

Need to drink lots of water. As I get older I need to pay more attention to that

Buppies glad you came through the ordeal and you are fine
