Rescued an old cutter and refurbished it

Neighbor had an old Long Manufacturing rotary cutter half buried in the woods behind his house.

I pulled it out and brought it in the shop. New gearbox and PTO shaft, sharpened the blades, and a coat of paint. About $300 in parts and here’s the end result. Before and after:

Are the front corners of the deck cracked? It would seem like something to weld up, and possibly reinforce, before painting.
