Good Morning,
Ct, 52 to start going to 75. Will load the truck up shortly for the trek to Vermont! Looks like heat starting to come in tomorrow! Next week sounds like Texas temps !

Kyle, hoping your son gets better soon !
I really wish I had his math genes! I never made it past trigonometry, which served me well for all the years I worked in the machining and model making career !

Ron, I’m with Bill on those darn geese ! What a horrible mess they make ! I’m for taking out ground hogs that want to make home under my Vt deck and other critters that don’t belong by the house !

Time to get busy, hope all have a good day ! Sounds like we may get a nice sunset in Vermont with that smoke coming through ! 🙏

Scotty, I do not have problems with geese. Blackbirds, turkeys, ducks and chipmunks are my problem. Sassy takes care of all of them except for the Blackbirds. I have been getting a lot of target practice with my Ruger pellet rifle lately. They keep coming back.

Good Morning
60° now, be almost 80 by late afternoon, sunny again with no rain.
Yesterday was productive. We got all of Crete Heat panels installed, as well as all of the PEX for the radiant heat. I left a few spots without tubing to give Zoe some cool spots to lie on. I hope she appreciates it.

The spots without insulation are footings that I want to have the concrete to sit on to support columns.

We took a nice lunch break to sit on patio and eat burgers and dogs along other picnic fare.

Got it all done and pressurized in time to drive my son to Allentown to pick up the little plane, it got some avionics upgrades.

The floor is scheduled to get poured next week.
Not a lot planned for today, professor has Covid, so no breakfast with him!
Airport Authority meeting tonight, lots of cleanup in the shop in between.

Morning all, 61 going to 79 and some sun.
Got the mower deck hammered back out and finished mowing.
Trimmed back the fig tree, it's a bit too happy.
Son's last final for the year is today.

Dad is out of the hospital and in Rehab. The rehab we wanted would not take him since he needs more help than they can give. His not moving more than 30 feet a couple of times a day for the last few years I am sure is not helping. When he visited me last, the first few days him and GF could not go 50 feet without sitting. By the time they left here a few weeks later they could walk 1/4 mile without resting. We try to get them to do stuff, but it's not possible with a few thousand miles between us.

Fuddy , I've had to rewire dashes before, as you know patience, those wire runs were all done with everything apart and ready to assemble. But at least there are less wires than on todays cars.

Kyle - son 99% is something to be very proud of. Sorry to hear about your walking worries. Pink eye, had that once, DR will have drops, don't let it get out of control.
I guess the door for the heat/cool is on a mopar? My Jeep has one completely stuck on heat for the drivers side, not sure how to access without taking the whole assembly apart, which includes cooling lines, unless I can drill a hole and move it manually, some have tried, and failed though. Controller would be easier, I can't turn the door even by hand/wrench.

L4N - how are you feeling, has the weakness started to go away or will it take some time?

Don, hope the move goes smoothly.

Popgadget - that floor heating looks really neat. Wish they had that years ago, my parents house had copper pipe floor heating, copper shifted as it was just in the pour with no structure like that.

No sign of new neighbor, hope something didn't go wrong, no grass cut, no building started.

Be well.

scott, any critters you don't want on your property will welcome some lead. If you cannot use lead because of close neighbours then pellet rifles and BB guns work too.
Bill, closest neighbor is 800 ft away, so the 20 ga works well ! 😉

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 7:30AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 73F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Used to work at a place full of PHD type geniuses. A street ran through the middle, and they had to put up a traffic light and cross walk because the propeller heads couldn't be bothered to look both ways on their way to the cafeteria. All brains and no common sense. Hope your son doesn't turn out to be one of those, Kyle.

Yesterday I took another look at the electrical connections to the 240VAC outlets I installed and couldn't find anything wrong. Cycled all the breakers off and back on and still no joy. Figured there had to be another breaker somewhere, so I got a chat session going with Sunrun, the folks that installed the solar power system. I asked for all the documentation they had on the system, especially a single line drawing, which they were able to provide electronically. The single line showed another component, basically a load center from Tesla, so I went through the boxes mounted on the wall one by one, trying to find each one on the drawing. Turned out to be a largish white one that I thought was part of the battery bank, with a small plastic catch on the side. There were four 50A breakers in there, and one of them controlled the 240VAC outlet I'd used for my extra outlets. And that breaker was off. Flipped it back on and all was right with the world. While I was chatting with the tech, I mentioned that the service entrance box was messed up, and asked for some help getting it repaired, as it seemed the damage was done by the solar power installers. They started a ticket, and promised a response in five to seven days. Sure glad the system is not down and I still have power.

First thing I plugged in was a GMA (Mig) welder, and repaired some cracks on a 3PH auger. That'll go back north with me tomorrow where it'll get a paint job so I can sell the auger. Got a laundry list of stuff to load today to help finish jobs at the old place. It's been in the hundreds up there, but it's supposed to break tomorrow. Sure hope so.

Happy Hump Day, folks...

home sweet home
easy ride home, despite 40 minutes parked on route 30 for some issue, nothing there when we finally
got speed back
lots to do but just going to pace myself

like you Bill, pace yourself...
Bill, with the exception of your minimally dressed times,
do you carry a phone with you at all times?
we are in the same boat, medical conditions and living alone
I even take my phone down to the basement with the wash, in case I do a header
one hand always on the rail
learned that in boating a long time ago

lot of rough concrete roads today
you folks who live in Virginia have it good
nicest roads I've even seen
must be the good example set by the Buppies paving company...

smooth macadam/asphalt whatever you want to call it in a far enough South location where you
don't get freeze and thaw damage, that to me is the gold standard. Like a train track with no clickety clacks.
I hate concrete, always sets up a roar in my ears. A roar mixed in with a bad hiss.
thank goodness for noise cancelling headphones. I can even drive with the windows down which I did today, sometimes
with both windows down to cool things off, never put on a/c.

This time obeyed the nice lady in the dash and took the turnpike to 309 North
and got off on 202. It's all redone roads now, 202 is a 45 and often slow but smooth as can be.
I won't go over 50 on it and that produces a huge line of cars behind me that I regret.

I did pull over once early on in the trip on 30, let a big line of traffic by, and sure enough
I met up with them down the road. But I got the big truck out from in front of me. He blocked an intersection
signal on me and it went red on me just as I got into intersection. Unless a real emergency, pretty dumb to jam on brakes
of rv. In a motorhome, there is always something that goes crash inside. So I drove through the red without an issue
but was then determined to get a different view forward. Which I did.

time to mow, time to water, time to get moving
