Nice to see you northerners getting some of that white stuff. I was starting to get worried for you.
All of the models I have seen for early winter were saying warmer and drier, they might have gotten it right for once. We will see how the rest of the winter shakes out. Here in the south we are supposed to be colder than average, hasn't quite been that way yet but lots of winter still to come.

I would like to apologize. Despite me putting the blade on, it still snowed. The nerve.

First time out with this tractor, I'm impressed. Much more grunt in the push. Surprised there's still any driveway/grass beside the driveway left. Still getting used to the three point hitch lift controls. Oh well, driveway needed a new sealcoat anyway.

We ended up with 10" here. I plowed our road that we share with two places down below that have a ROW and a camp about a mile down the town road.

We’re SUPPOSE to get 5 to 7 inches tonight and tomorrow in Western Illinois. We will see. Like so many people, I consider myself a weather expert, I can read maps and guess with the best of them. Because it’s right on the fringe of being freezing I can see this storm being a bust or I can see us getting more than predicted.

Ended up with about 8" overall here from this last weekends storm. Nice thing about being retired and
having no appointments till the end of this week. Didn't start the truck or tractors all weekend long. Stayed warm and comfortable. After a late breakfast and a few cups of coffee this morning I went outside about 11:30 and got started. Used the little electric blower around the garage doors and walkway, Then back bladed a bit with the little Kioti then started using the Branson and back blade, a couple of hours latter it was done, warmed the truck up and went down to the mailbox and gathered up Sat and todays mail.
Now they are talking lots of wind and rain for Tuesday and Wednesday, so well shall see.

Question for you all when did they start calling rain events Areal flood watchs/warnings as opposed to not a real flood watch?

There were a few jarring experiences. This tractor has a lot more down pressure than the one I'm used to. Found that there's a "float" type range on the three point hitch. I know it's not good for it, but learning experiences rarely come free.

We had maybe 6” or 7” of very wet heavy snow. Sounds silly to say but was slippery. This was probably because it was so heavy to push. I slid off the drive and my wife had to pull me out. Before and after pictures.

Weather alert for 12" to 20" of snow possible in south central Washington on Friday! So maybe I will get some time to cross country ski next week. Cold temps forecast for 5° to 14° for several days next week.

Had about 6" today and the forecast for tomorrow is only for an inch or 2. Got up to -2C today and over the next week there will a few days with the high around -21C (-2F) and the lows around -28C (-18F). Won't be used to that cold after all the warm weather we've been having, lol. Winter has finally arrived for a few days.

Will diesel fuel and filter "ungell" if warmed up and additive added. I realize that this is probably 2 questions. Seems like old posts have conflicting answers to this. I get my diesel 5 gallons at a time, so I figured it had additives or was blended. (I now realize I shouldn't trust Hess...
