pto switch on my john deere 425 lawn mower

Sorry but no. I don't even know how many contacts are on mine just that the key has 4 positions. Do you have the owners manual. If so it should describe how to keep PTO engaged in reverse.

ive been looking, but just found the reverse implement option on page 38. Im going to try that in the morning, but it looks like you have to repeat steps 1-5 each time you back up.

Two of the eight contacts become common when you lift the switch. Jumping these together by passes the reverse feature. I simply tucked a piece of wire into the two contacts so can easily remove the jumper to put back to factory specs.
