good morning all
little rain this morning then more tomorrow, high in upper 60's

off to PT this morning, my last for a while.

David nice job on electronics

RNG, my nephew is 22 going on 14, in some ways sadly...if anyone would take care of this old
truck, yes he would. He is super conscientious and careful.
I've already had the long pros and cons with his grand father. No air bags, everything inside hard as can be, and really won't
go over 50 mph. Personally I think the truck is very cool looking and maybe what grandfather and grandson need to do is make
a street rod out of it. It already has a custom steering wheel that tilts, so why not add power steering, it's not fully stock anyway.

I told my brother I threw out my white wall cleaner forty years ago, he will have to hunt around to get some.

Those Offenhauser carbs were running rich, brother was upset wasn't running right after waiting for it over a month in shop.
He would have more fun dropping a crate small block in there, but those Offenhauser intake parts sure are pretty.
My brother started out working on Solexes and Strombergs with Austin Healey 100-4s in our farm garage as kids. I'm pretty sure he
would like more reliability and ease of use. Not a good choice for the latter with a truck with no power steering and no power brakes.

maybe they should convert it to an EV...that seems to be the current rage

Ron, have a yummy donut for me please

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

51.4F and raining since last night, going to lower 60s and rainy all day.

Mrs and I did wood duty, she split and filled our little trailer with another load, i milled three good-sized poplar logs into boards for the cabin shed and got some other odds-n-ends lumber out of it plus a good amount of offcuts for firewood. The best part was the weather was really good for working — cool enough to not excessively swear, warm enough that Mrs didn’t want to run off back home after an hour. . . And it was nice having her stacking boards after she finished splitting. Who needs a gym? Tomorrow wood will get unloaded and stacked, then maybe at trip to BigBox for some more insulation for the shed, now that the boards are milled up.

Taking mom and Mrs out for lunch, plus some shopping. weather will be wet, so a good day for running around — I wont feel as bad as when I have to do admin stuff on a sunny day and lose the good weather for getting outside work done.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Good morning, the low is 51 and going up to 57°F. Wind ESE 7 mph. Showers. It is raining right now.

The trailer is empty and ready to go back into its' hidy hole for the winter. I park it between the genny shed and the tractor shed. It is open to the elements, but it will survive.

Too rainy to do the tractor shed tarp today.

I have to go to town today, get some groceries, enough to tie us over till the end of the month. I will throw $100.oo into the pot for that.

Have a safe day all

52 going to 70 and probably showers this afternoon.

Kil, nice that you walked your property and found that pond. You'll likely get very familiar with every part of your land and maybe most every big tree before long. Just pay the $25! 😁

Good that the Pacific Gas Pipeline okayed...prices are sky high there. Plus need to burn gas or coal to recharge those 'lectric cars and stuff.

BEF, sorry about your knee...yesterday was my first hike in 12 days because of my knee. We may have overdone it, because my wife was complaining about hers last night...but I feel good this morning. Envious of your train ride today on that Norfolk & Western.

Thomas, love your critter stories. I've seen muddy tracks on my tractor seat, nut never the critter.

We had to cancel our annual birthday trip for my wife a few months back...always took a vacation day from work to take her on a day trip...would explore a nice small town/city, have a nice lunch or dinner, maybe visit a winery, etc.

So, we made up for it yesterday...trying for Front Royal...but our drive through the mountains and then our 3 hour hike left only enough time to get to the winery I picked out...we could even look down on it from the trail we were hiking. Got there just in time for her to do a nice tasting flight, all the while I was staring up at the mountain to find the cliff we had stood on to see down into this valley...never made it to Front Royal...always next time.
