Good morning!!!!

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 6C and it's presently 25.7C! It's fairly clear with a gentle breeze. Yo-yo mid-Spring temperatures/weather for sure. We're expecting a heavy rain event this weekend.

Not much on for the daytime. Hopefully I can have a video chat with my Aunt (in Ontario) around noon my time (2100, yesterday, her's). This evening I have a dinner/meeting. Hopefully home by 2130.

That's about it, take care all.

This morning we decided on an impromptu leaf exploring trip.
Spent day mostly in WV again, but ate supper at the place we sometimes pick up a wood fired pizza, only today we ate in. Very good Italian dish.
Some places lots of color, other places still mostly green.

Kyle sorry to hear Texas not playing nice about old outboard coming out of estates. Years ago I acquired a 20 hp Johnson from SIL father's estate. My DIL was able to get a title for it in Missouri. Took like 6 or 8 months to get it. Glad you got trannie out. Are the dowel pins special? Can machine or drill material away to press out pins?
Exactly what I did. like what this guy did:

Tell your daughter to be safe m7040

Chilly outside 50 breezy

BEF your son and I share a common b day Im just way older
Happy Belated Birthday Buppies! Was it the 14th???

Good morning! 38˚F, West wind turning Southerly warming up this afternoon with a cloudless sky to the upper 70s. Had to get up and close the window last night too cold.

Have to do some pre-op test at the hospital today, I forgot to ask them about fasting before the bloodwork, so I guess I better call them before I eat.
42F here, burrrr! I had to wear a jacket. You'd be surprised what feels cold when you're used to 100+

41 going to 64.

Happy 70th Birthday Buppies!

Dang, Don, 38?

Made a nice dump run and trip to the hardware store...sanded and cleaned and repainted the woodstove steamer. 99% ready to fire her up. Still need to bring wood in. Had a nice campfire and sunset last night.

low wind good for tarp work Bill

Kilroy, left supermarket with three small plastic bags yesterday, including a lot of cans.
103 bucks. Must be very challenging for low income families.
I can attest to that...

Mrs and I have been on a weight-loss program since August, she is down 26 and I am down 34 and have a ”1” as weight first digit for the first time in over a dozen years. It is called “infinite30” and It may be something for you to at least look into. i Can honestly say that the first three weeks I was miserable and wanted to eat the headrests out of my truck… but then again, I am a foodie and love to cook— and I still lost the weight. And yea, it requires changing a lot of things and eliminating a lot of things but it is doable and adjustments have been made.
Great! I haven't been to the "1" as the first number since 2000.

Question for Don re: Auction:

there is a $25 Mailing Fee plus bid plus actual shipping.

is that per item? Or is it one time regardless of number of items? View attachment 827448
because That potentially means, if it is per item, that if I bid on five items I need to shell out $125 on top of the other $$$. . . Sortakinda changes the equation a bit… if it is a single charge it isn’t too bad…
It seems fair to me to charge $25 to find/buy a box, pack, label, tape, and drive to post office for $25 when selling for someone else.

Thomas, you need a good camera to show us Boo eating neighbors pumpkins.

Great photos y'all!!!

Don, I have some of those items on my watch list.

Work is soooo busy. Tired and mentally drained. I have given up trying to make plans for my day, as the best battle plans fall to pieces when the bullets start flying. But I still love my job, working with some of the best "kids" in the world, eager to learn.

Took a while to catch up. Yaris is awaiting me for finishing clutch job, next is a/c system kit overhaul, then possibly timing chain kit. Will double cheap value of car, hopefully it will last as my "spare tire" car for a long while. Wish it were a neato prius like Pops. I would like to hear the sound system in it.

Tired and hitting the hay.

good morning all
up way too early, back hurts but this too shall pass

should be a nice day today, high in upper 60s.

looking forward to my brother bringing over his 1950 Ford F-1 pickup this morning.
He just bought it, then of course it promptly went into shop to get stuff fixed, and he finally got it
out of the shop after a month. He bought it to give to his 14 yo grandson, teach him how to drive.
He already laughed with the local chief of police he'd better not pick them up, and where could they drive?....
the joys of a small town where everyone knows most everyone else, and for sure, this old truck is the only one
around like it. My brother used to be a supervisor here and knows the police chief and township mgr well.

still waiting for fuel oil folks to call me back regarding prepay. I missed their letter while off in rv. Might be too late to sign up but ?

anyone else sign a fuel oil prepay and what did you pay per gallon? I only need about 300 gallons, so can't qualify for big discounts.
275 tank is full now, but will need a fill up end of December. I'm on automatic delivery but who knows what that would cost at spot rates

Coffee is brewing. 45° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 56° with rain most of the day. Got garden pond ready to install net to keep leaves from filling pond up. Got drone out and took some pictures of tree with color. Like others full color may not happen before leaves fall off trees. Grocery shopping this morning. Then trip to Costco for checkup of hearing aids. Getting used to having them. Hope there is a fix for ear piece to stay in channel. They keep falling out.
Last picture from field. Will be cutting it in the next week.

Thanks everyone for my picture likes.

Thank you others that post pictures.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 46 and going to a high of 55°F. Wind SE 7 mph. 40% chance of showers.

Everything that is in the way of doing the last tarp is out of the way. Now we just need the weather to co-operate.

Fired up the wood furnace yesterday and the house is toasty warm now.

Have a safe day fellas

some car stuff

there are test Cybertrucks running around Austin now. Anyone seen one?
I guess folks who bought Hummers and other unnecessary vehicles will love it

lot of headwind for electric pickups. Many articles on how towing just about anything drains the battery
dry almost twice as fast. And the charging system is currently a joke based on what the predictions are for future use.
If I owned a retail delivery truck though, like my friend with the coffee business, I'd seriously look at a plug in EV

if it's as easy as my golf cart, fine, plug it in when I get home. It's the distance driving that needs far more infrastructure than we have.

my goddaughter's pilot husband with his R1T Rivian with over
800hp and 900 torque, 0-60 in 3 seconds, has been very happy with his truck/toy.

Tesla just redesigned the model 3, apparently made significant improvements, and now they are less expensive.
Lot of competition now.
For many if not most of us, I think hybrid makes a lot more sense.

I'm sure our government knows what's best for us
and we won't have any problems making this switch to EV................
Scandinavia is going almost all EV and it apparently has worked there
North America has huge countries. Europe has much smaller countries, except Russia, China
and for sure our friends in Australia. Australia, Canada and the US are very similar; a really long way from one side to the other in a land
that is always friendly.

Tesla has made about a hundred trucks so far, I think the release is next month
Waiting for the first one with trade racks and ladders. Unlikely.
