Mowed all the grass. At times the sun almost came out, other times a light sprinkle of rain, not enough to register.
A crew is reroofing the neighbors rental house on the other side of them, the original farm house for our land.
Forgot to get a pic of the trees in front starting to turn. Will get them later.

Interesting watching you guys transition into fall, great pics.
Never liked raking leaves. OK, maybe as a kid when we’d jump and play in the pile, but never as a clean up thing. Didn’t make me real popular with some of my southern neighbors. My reply was, “God put them there, he’ll remove them when he wants”

nothing beats living next to woods
just blow them back in...with a little help from whatever divine source put them there.
one of those big three point pto blowers would be the cat's meow, in a cabbed tractor.

very pleased with my Makita cordless blower. Have both sizes,both are excellent and the large one is relatively quiet.
The smaller one is marvelous for cleaning out radiator screens and engine compartment junk, but it makes quite an unpleasant whine.

now living up on top of the hill/mountain as you do David, seems
gravity is your friend.

which begs the question
if your tree leaves all blow over into your neighbor's yard or property, and
someone is going to have to deal with it, what is the right approach?
Now if it's a tree limb, sure, your tree, your problem.
but what about the leaves?

I'm visioning a line of gingko trees like we had on our farm, dropping their awful smelly rotting
fruit on a neighbor's property. Gingkos are very pretty trees.
but their fruit was like rotting flesh.
always a challenge not stepping on it and tracking it into house.
like dog poop.

thank goodness for cordless blowers.
I actually used a corded one for many years on a small property
and it was surprisingly powerful. And it never broke, always worked

50F cloudy.
Been long day doing leave control dealing with quick heavy passing showers and swirling winds,did finish must be little stubbornness with in me.

Plans for evening dinner feet up might little football if I can keep the lids open.

Later this morning I have a doctors appointment with primary care physician, have to see this guy at least twice a year to keep getting my blood pressure medication ! Fortunately I only take one prescribed med, but seems crazy to go to see this guy all the time if Im not really sick !

My cardiologist somewhat the same,every 4 month he schedules meet and greet and chat mostly about everything but what appointment for.
Doctor has very little sense of humor,I ask him question and confuse him.

I had a buddy who would only rake leaves on the windiest of days, and then rake vigorously with big sweeping motions with the wind.

Basically a be free, be free effort.

At Costco today.
Pick up my temporary handicap placard today and used it at Costco and immediately regretted it after a car with a worse off passenger than me, I had just a cane, She had to be helped into the store. She must have been 100 years old.
