Good Morning
It’s 57 and grey outside, not going to change much throughput the day.
Tomorrow begins a week of sun and clear skies.
Yesterday kept me busy, I picked up the sheet of stainless steel that I had waterjet cut to repair the rear deck on the Progressive mower that was rusting through. I made a CAD drawing and emailed a dxf file to the shop.
Somehow the file got a little scrambled and left a few cuts out. It did the bolt circles for the spindles, but not one of the large center holes, and there is one hole missing from one of the bolt circles. I’ll drill that, and plasma cut the big one. He offered to cut a new piece, but he’s a friend, I sent him the file without a drawing to compare, and most importantly, he didn’t charge me anything for the 60 x 24 stainless sheet or his work.
Besides, I can easily do it.
Had a nice lunch with a friend, while we were eating I got a call from the Toyota dealer that my car was ready to pick up. My friend offered to drive me to the dealer, about an hour away.
We made a detour, he thought I might like to see his friends wood shop. He was correct. They had some spectacular high end projects going on, several big pieces that were going to Norway.

Picking the car up went effortlessly, the paperwork took less than 5 minutes, as most of it was done last week when I actually bought it.
The only catch was that they only plugged it in about 45 minutes before I got there, so I drove home as a hybrid rather than EV. Still registered an impressive 64mpg though. I plugged it in to my new charger when I got home.
Didn’t play music, but not a bad day. I’ve got a lot to figure out, this Prius has more systems than a jet airplane. Got the garage door openers and the XM radio programmed as a start.
This morning, I’ll drive to the airport for another NH trip in EV mode. Be interesting to see how far the charge takes me. I’ll probably plug into 120v while I’m there.
Should get home early afternoon, it’s way to wet to mow, so I’ll be in the shop cutting up wood and building speakers. It’s great not to have any governmental agencies to deal with for a while. Between the agencies and their programs, my head is swimming with acronyms.
