62 going to 73.

Great photo, Buppies.
Some of you might remember a former TBNer, Ed of all Trades, he did blacksmith work. I met him for breakfast once a few years back.
Good guy...miss him.

Roasted some nice coffees yesterday...quality has really improved from many of the small growers.

Hoping things dry out enough today to start another round of mowing...grass is tall and moist.

Good Morning
It’s 57 and grey outside, not going to change much throughput the day.
Tomorrow begins a week of sun and clear skies.

Yesterday kept me busy, I picked up the sheet of stainless steel that I had waterjet cut to repair the rear deck on the Progressive mower that was rusting through. I made a CAD drawing and emailed a dxf file to the shop.
Somehow the file got a little scrambled and left a few cuts out. It did the bolt circles for the spindles, but not one of the large center holes, and there is one hole missing from one of the bolt circles. I’ll drill that, and plasma cut the big one. He offered to cut a new piece, but he’s a friend, I sent him the file without a drawing to compare, and most importantly, he didn’t charge me anything for the 60 x 24 stainless sheet or his work.
Besides, I can easily do it.
Had a nice lunch with a friend, while we were eating I got a call from the Toyota dealer that my car was ready to pick up. My friend offered to drive me to the dealer, about an hour away.
We made a detour, he thought I might like to see his friends wood shop. He was correct. They had some spectacular high end projects going on, several big pieces that were going to Norway.

Picking the car up went effortlessly, the paperwork took less than 5 minutes, as most of it was done last week when I actually bought it.
The only catch was that they only plugged it in about 45 minutes before I got there, so I drove home as a hybrid rather than EV. Still registered an impressive 64mpg though. I plugged it in to my new charger when I got home.

Didn’t play music, but not a bad day. I’ve got a lot to figure out, this Prius has more systems than a jet airplane. Got the garage door openers and the XM radio programmed as a start.

This morning, I’ll drive to the airport for another NH trip in EV mode. Be interesting to see how far the charge takes me. I’ll probably plug into 120v while I’m there.

Should get home early afternoon, it’s way to wet to mow, so I’ll be in the shop cutting up wood and building speakers. It’s great not to have any governmental agencies to deal with for a while. Between the agencies and their programs, my head is swimming with acronyms.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly)…

55F going to low 80s, sunny all day.

Admin and shopping excursions went well, work on hives went well - removed supers and reduced back to two deeps on the hives. Busier hive produced almost eight medium frames of honey. I got two pint jars just from straining the cappings! Four frames are inverted in a bin, slowly gravity draining, I put that bin in the back of the Subaru to heat up today in the sun While we do tasks up at the woodlot today. Rest of the frames will extract as the week progresses.

Today’s activities will begin up at the woodlot, Mrs will do more splitting, I will bring up some scaffold frames to start working on the carport, I plan to get some 2x4 spacers along the wall of the shed ( because there is a defunct electrical service that I need clearance over, just in case we ever reconnect), and get the first aluminum rail mounted, so I can exactly determine where I need to put the concrete footings for the rest of the assembly.
Hen we will load up the first of that firewood to bring home and start stacking For ‘24-‘25 heating season.

Then I will be converting all the remaining tomatoes into sauce and making a batch of meatballs and freezing in batches.

And then show tonight at the Performing Arts Center.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

64 outside this AM, heading to mid 70's. 84% humidity.

Got the call yesterday to formally shut down a few projects at the real job. Too bad.

That set my mind racing to complete the wifes wishes here at the house. Today is Milk House attic cleaning day. Chase the squirrels out, clean up the attic floors, hang some gable foam boards and seal it up. Will have to double down on that and get it done, today. Still waiting on one plumber with a transit. To get it fully functional with water and septic hookups we are in the 13 to 25k range. That's rough in only, no fixture hookups. It's a big fur ball for me, but it needs to happen.

Hope all have a great weekend, be safe. Stay or get healthy to those ailing.

Time to tend to the critters.
