Morning all, 53 going to 75 and sun is coming up.
Did some more work with trimmer. Mowed a bit, then started pruning top of firebush.
It's tall enough the fiskers manual pole saw was fully extended to get to the base of the tall branches.
Some of the stiltgrass is 4-5' tall, well was.

be well,

from the finally finished road easement.

Ron the hardest job is coming up with a price on items to sell. What price did you come up with for the roll top desk? The liquidators motto is you can always come down on the price but you can't go up so over price everything and then have a 50% off sale the last day.
The price is easy. When company I worked for decided to have me work from home over 30 years ago. They told me to go get a desk and file cabinet. Bought the rolltop desk which had 2 large file drawers. They paid for it and all my time getting it. There are a lot of this type desk for sale on Craigs List and FB Market Place around here. Many been listed for a long time with prices less than $100. Mine is avail for free. Just take it away.

54F and gorgeous. I ran up to the farm yesterday afternoon to mow. It was a zoo up there. The painters where painting the farm house and they didn't want dust on the new paint. Just as I got there the tree service circus pulled in. 6 big trucks. A tall bucket truck, a crane truck, a chipper truck with a big chipper. I can't say what the other 3 trucks were for. They made quick work of pruning the dead wood from the big copper beech. I'm afraid it is a lost cause. I think it is dying. I mowed down wind of the house then hauled a trailer load of logs to the neighbor. The lawn here at the house is greening up slowly. For some reason the lawn on the west side of the house has stayed green and growing through it all. I'll probably mow here today then if the painters are not working I'll finish up at the farm Saturday.

I'd say some people here are sensitive. I know nobody likes criticism. I have made remarks in jest that people took the wrong way. To keep peace I guess we ought to watch our mouths or at least out fingers.

Hope you are all having weather this good.

Chris

Good Morning Guys,
Dftodd, awesome fish you got that must have been an experience!!

Vt , 47 to start going to 67, and hoping that Hurricane Lee doesn’t screw up our weather too much ! Kathleen wants to get in some pontoon boat time in on Lake St Catherine !

Thomas, I’m thinking the same thing on starting to mow our field either today or tomorrow! The grass is not bad but also needs to be cut ! Kathleen wants to take a couple of the pine trees down out front because she says they are blocking our view of the mountains ! 😏 Also the grand kids live playing hide and seek in between them so don’t want to ruin that either ! We will see !

David thanks for your insight on the pool conversion !

LStractor, also thanks for your suggestion on the pool chemicals !

Drew, hope you have a safe trip and it sounds like you have enough time to think about everything you could possibly need before your depart ! 🙏

Thought about the wood stove this morning but switched the kitchen gas stove on to take the chill off !

All have a blessed and safe day !🙏

good morning, 57 going to 76 nice morning

Two of our barn cats were missing this morning. Wondering if the neighbor poisoned them like some of the others

Excavated out a ledge on the slope down to the pond and got enough soil to fill in the hole left after removing a lot of boulders. 1000 ft each way made for a lot trips to transport. Overfilled bucket each time to minimize trips

Woke up to a whole bunch of drama this morning. Had texts and emails from the airline.

They canceled my flight out this morning. They rescheduled me for a later flight into Atlanta. Then I got to look forward to an 11hr layover not landing in Little Rock till after midnight

Instead of canceling the driver I decided to go ahead and go to the airport to see if I could get better flights home.

Thankfully the driver showed up about 15 minutes early.

So.... when I got to the airport this morning, they were able to get me a standby position on an earlier flight if I could get through security and to the gate in time.

Well..... I got hung up in security. Some of the swag I got in the presentation was setting off warnings for security, so I got a bag check....

By this point I'm chomping at the bit. After a 1/4 mile sprint to the gate, (probably scared some old ladies and resembled a charging bull) they called my name for the last available seat just as I got to the gate

I had just enough time to send off a text to my wife that I was able to make the earlier flight and that I would be home on time

I will say this..... I got my cardio in this morning
